Zelda RP in Planning - Advanced Players Only!

Hiya all. ...in case you haven't noticed, the most popular rp on the boards (as far as number of hits for reading it) is Lakot and Hrt's "Link Gets Spanked" ....and with good reason: Zelda is awesome! ^-^

...anywho... Reading that rp is what got me interested about RP-ing on this board, so now I'd like to do a little bit of homage, and have some Zelda-related fun myself.

...but I want it to be good.

So we're planning on a Kokiri-forest-themed RP... Lakot and I are, that is.

...and because I don't want this to be a mess, I have a couple of requests.

1) No one is playing Link - he isn't in the forest, whether this is before he showed up, or after... probably after.

2) No sex, no sex, no sex. If your character gets 'excited', hell, that's just human (Kokiri?) nature, but for the love of Din, no sex.

3) No super-duper magical add-ons to the forest, that'll throw the whole place off. No Gorons falling from the sky, Ganondorf isn't allowed to burn up the forest, Impa can't decide that the entire forest needs a good spanking, and no, you can't be a Hylian that wandered in. This is the Kokiri forest, and we're very good at what we do... playing cute elf-people that have known each other for all of time.

4) If you'd like to apply for this RP, we don't want it to be your first. In fact, we want alot of stuff, because we don't want the quality of this RP to be affected by inexperience or a lack of communication.

So here's the oppressive list of requirements:

...we would like you to know Zelda, Ocarina of Time.

...we would like you to be playing in at least a couple of RPs already, preferably for a good amount of time, so that we don't need to correct you.

...in fact, (and I'm sorry) we would like you to be a 'roleplayer'. ...that's right, your usergroups matter, all of a sudden! Gotta collect 'em all!

...we would like you to be able to write more than two lines in every post. Some of my favorite RP-ers are masters of the short post, and those are really fun in their own right - I'm in a bunch of them, myself... but that isn't what this thread is allowed to be. Look at SP-TV, or Nightly Lessons, if you want some idea of the length and depth of postings that we're looking for. ...and no, we don't expect every post to be perfect. We all have dry spells where we can barely put two words together, but there's a difference between an RP that starts like that, and one that occasionally falls into it.

Lakot and I claim Authorial uber-rights over whether you can be in the thread or not - we'd like you to PM at least one of us with a request to play, and a little bit of information about who you're going to be playing... ...and since not too many of the Kokiri had names, original characters (kokiri) are, of course, encouraged.

Don't be angry at us if we say no. ...we have a pretty good idea of what we want this thread to look like, and if you've got a writing style that doesn't fit what we want... (and remember, if you've posted enough to be considered, we can probably see what your writing style, and interactions with other players, looks like) ...then we know what we're talking about.
