I liked the PS2 a whole lot but I'm not so fond of the PS3. If I had wanted a new computer, I would have bought one...

I'll definitely have to agree with you on that one. Even though the first game system I owned was an Atari 2600 that I played before I even learned how to talk.
PS3's are cool, but since they're kind of expensive I only recommend them to hardcore gamers like myself.

its a really hard choice. ive played most of the video game consoles made and each have their own advantages. nintendo has been popular for some time now but they are slipping on upgrading their graphics. although the ps3 controller is small, sony offers their services for free. xbox is easy to get used to, but i hate xbox live because of the monthly fee and having to play with sore loser racists in call of duty. i think in this case i'll go with playstation

On the Wii you can get rechargable battery packs, or just use rechargable batteries, then you don't have many problems. Or get mini li-ion cells, those last FOREVER in a Wii remote.

X-Box/X-Box 360 for me. Though I like the N-64 and the Wii as well of the newer game systems.

There needs to be a Sega Genesis/Saturn/Dreamcast option.
I loved my Dreamcast. The games were more fun, better graphically, and easier to play than the N64. I still play it.
I chose PS2, mostly because it's what I've played longest and is the first console that I ever bought myself. (As opposed to parents buying for my brother and I to share.) It also is the only system that owns my favorite game series, Final Fantasy, so I am basically forced to buy a PS3 whether I want to or not. From seeing other people's systems though, if Final Fantasy weren't an issue, I would try to decide between a Wii and a PS3. PS3 has more serious games that I like to hardcore play, but the Wii has more childish fun games that I enjoy for a couple sittings.
If I had the money I would probably get both. As it is... I can't even afford one lol!
