I didn't even know I could get Kelly to disappear; I'm stuck after finishing the thief quest and spanking the inn keeper without a letter or anything, but I've never had Kelly gone from her place in the garden. Is it even possible to enter her tree house?

Choose "comfrey root" when you play Jessy. It's trigger of Kelly's hootch quest.

By the way, there are some hidden variables in this game, like SpLv and checkpoint.

Most of the spanking events can increase your splv and some choices effect the increase value.

For example, the widow spanking event needs SpLv >= 40 , and order her to be naked will add 6 splv after spanking. It's only add 5 if you say "not mind".

You can spank more and more characters if you finish needed events(including use crystal) and have enough splv.

On the whole I enjoy the game design strategy, however, some clues are unobvious between events.

With regards to the SpLv, I could be wrong but there's this spot on the top of the town in the water. When your SpLv rises, there'll be a spot there in the water that gets brighter and brighter. It doesn't exist at the beginning of the game, but by the time you spank a good number of girls the spot will glow brighter and brighter. Not sure if it's really related but just thought I'd point it out.

I managed to spank every girl except for the Inn owner and the head maid. Are there any special conditions for those two?

If your spank level is high enough, you can just go into the Inn owner's room and give her a spanking(of course she should be back from pub first).

Head maid Susan is similar. Talking with butler Joseph after Lady Constance spanking event, he will need your help to give back the cane to Susan if you have enough splv.

I'm not able to get the spiritual crystals (even though I see the circles) in either the characters house or in the Inn. I step in them. I try using space and return. And I never get a crystal. And so far that has limited me to two crystals in this game. It's very strange.
I have the second download version.

Did you try standing next to it and activating it?
