Dragonspank!

Hey all, I thought I'd jump on the hype train and post up a quick demo to a game I started working on. Thanks to Sevina for pointing out there was a sale on RPG Maker MV!

Anyway, this is a very brief demo (maybe 2-3 minutes of gameplay, depending on your choices).

I may add in other things (like the ability to play as a guy) later, but for now this is where we start. For this demo, it's better to misbehave, at least for the moment.

Much of the house is not done yet, nor is the surrounding town. I'm still debating if I want to include money in this game or not.

Like what you've got so far, very cool story concept!

Are you supposed to be able to enter the second house? I get an error message about a missing file (map005) when I try to enter it.

@Otakuyami: I haven't even started the second house yet, just forgot to disable the door. Sorry about that. The only things done are some of the players' house so far, though I do plan to expand a bit more of what you can do in there.

@Sakurasou: Thanks! I tried to make good use of what I could find to make some differences from the others.

@Godspeak: I hope you don't mind me (at least for now) using the butt-status icons; I started with them as a "does this work" thing for getting them into the game, and didn't even think about changing it before uploading. That said, I would like to keep them, as they are the best I've been able to find so far. Hope you enjoy the teaser!

Good to know, someone was able to take advantage of the sale, and a new game designer has come forth.

Of course you had to launch your demo, when I was AFK, with only phone internet access for 20 hours. But I have have now had time to check it out, and although there is not a lot of content yet, it runs smoothly, and looks clean. The story (so far) reminds me a bit of of "Spanking Cards", although it is too soon to say where you are going with your story. A really great start, and I will be watching where you take this in the future.

I have to say I am impressed how much you have done with RPGmaker, considering you bought it when it was on sale just a short time ago, and of yet, I have not been able to make a door work. (but plan to watch some instructional videos, and put in some time on Sunday morning)

I did have VX Ace first for a while, and was able to look at some of the other games from that program to see how they worked, but I never got anything working properly. Also went through some of the tutorials to refresh my memory.

I suppose there is a bit of influence from "Spanking Cards", as well as definitely influence from other games (especially those by Bagool and Godspeak). As to where I'm going, I have a loose idea of where, but the 'how' is the big challenge. We'll see how it goes!

I've got to saw, you've already made an intriguing concept here. And I'm sure we'd love to see what you do with this.
So far that I can see is that your sound effects are top notch and your current little system of choices and reactions seems like it could be a ton of fun in future iterations.
All in all? a wonderful start.
