"Awesome!," Maddie exclaimed when her sister told her that she would teach her to ride, quickly forgetting her new 'cool' attitude. "Smoking? Ewwwww, I don't think so," she added though she was less thrilled to hear her sister wouldn't allow her to drink. "I bet you drank at my age Laney," she added with a huff, although she was too excited about the bike ride to care too much at the moment. She nodded as her sister agreed that pizza would be good and started to follow her to the door. "Well how am I going to get skilled enough if you never let me drive?," Maddie questioned even though she was more than excited to just go for the ride at this point.

"Heyyyy!," Maddie cried out as her sister ruffled her hair. "Dont do that!," she whined a little as she quickly tried to smooth her brown hair back into place. She then shoved her sister gently in the back as they headed out to the bike. She waited for Lane to get on and then hopped on ready for the ride.

"Hold on tight." Lane warned, smirking as she revved up the engine before pulling out at a slightly faster speed than normal. in one way Lane was showing off for the younger girl, in another she was trying to give her a good time since the girl obviously had felt badly enough to run away from home.

It didn't take them long to get to a pizza place, which doubled as an arcade. "We're here, you okay Maddie?"

Maddison held on to her sister's waist and nodded as she was instructed to hold on tight. "Holyyyy.....," Maddie started to scream as quickly wrapped her arms around her sister's waist and really held on tight as they rocketed out of the driveway. Once she adjusted to the speed though, a big smile spread across her face. "AWESOME!," she yelled trying to be heard over the engine of the bike. Maddie whooped as her sister took a quick turn and really started to enjoy the ride. It was over all too quickly in her opinion as they pulled into the pizza arcade.

"That was so cool, I cant wait to do that!," Maddie exclaimed as she slid off the back of her sister's bike. "I'm great!" Once the bike was parked, Maddie headed in with her sister and ordered a couple of big slices of cheesy pizza. She waited for her sister to get her food as well, and headed to a table to eat. "You want to play some games when we are done?," Maddie asked, wondering if her sister still liked to play arcade games or if she thought they were silly and stupid now. "This pizza is really good!," she exclaimed and then giggled as she spotted some stringy cheese hanging from her chin.

"Sure we can play some games if you want." Lane answered with a chuckle "You know, we're not that different...Even if we basically thought that we were so different growing up." She stated as she helped herself to a slice of pizza.

"I'm sorry I just up and left like I did. If I had knew that woman was being a pain I wouldn't have just left you to defend for yourself. I just couldn't take her mouth."

Maddison smiled as Lane agreed to play some games with her. She nodded as Lane told her they weren't so different even if they had thought they were when they were younger. "Thanks sis, and I don't blame you. Besides your taking me in now." Maddison took a few more bites of her pizza and then grinned at her sister. "Well if you wanted to make it up to me you could let me drive your bike on the way home or you know give me a little money to get some tokens so we can play a few games."

"I'll give you some money...Because I do not trust you on a full speed street bike just yet." She said with a small smile, handing her some cash. "But I want you to eat first, who knows when the last time you had a decent meal was since that woman has been off her ass drunk constantly."

Maddison smiled as Lane agreed to give her some money for the tokens. She hadn't really expected her to change her mind about letting her drive the bike yet, but she figured it was always worth a shot. She gave Lane a curious look though when she added that she wanted her to eat first. It was a surprisingly motherly thing for her big sister to say. "Well duh, Laney I'm not six anymore you know. Besides this pizza is really good!," she exclaimed before taking another big bite. Maddison happily finished her slices of pizza and then headed over to a token machine with the money Lane gave her.

Once, she got the tokens Maddison tried her luck at a shooting game while Lane finished eating. She had never been good at those though and it didn't take her long to die, and walk away from the machine in disgust. She headed over to a skeeball machine next, and turned to Lane and motioned for her to join her. "Come on it will be fun and I'm going to kick your butt!," she challenged.

Lane laughed softly at that "Okay, you are so on." she retorted as she went over and picked up a ball. "Just don't whine if I beat you!" she stated playfully. Lane, despite her appearances, was a playful person although she could be intimidating if needed. However, at that moment she was just focusing on her sister and the game that she wanted to play.
