A Heroic Adventure (Closed for Thesuprememe overlord)
Night had fallen on the city of Rochdale, a city known for its gleaming dark buildings, vast park filled with lush plant life, and the statue of their mayor planted directly towards the bay. It was an industrial city with plenty of factories littered downtown, which is where sixteen year old Johnathan, otherwise known as "Redwave" would find himself. While Rochdale was a home for businesses, booming technology, and plenty of entertainment--it was also a city scrambling to defend itself against crime. When super heroes came into existence some fifty years ago, they brought with them an influx of evil doers hellbent on using their powers for destruction and turmoil. John, and his twelve year old brother Dean, were once orphans from a distant planet torn by war. In a last ditch effort to save a few of their people, their family placed a four year old John and infant brother Dean into a space pod. It landed on earth nearly twelve years ago.
The boys were part of an alien race, but their powers hadn't fully formed until recently. While the remained in Rochdale's orphanage for some time, John, being the guardian of his brother, decided he no longer wished to stay. The two found an abandoned warehouse, stole to survive, and thrived in the city's underbelly until they were found by a kind heroine. She took pity on them, and took them as her own. The boys were enamored by her, and both knew instantly they wanted to be crime fighters.
It has been five years since then.
The sixteen year old boy had quite a bit of homework to finish tonight, and his grades were suffering from his constant interest in doing anything but schoolwork. He should have said something before sneaking off into the night, but he heard there was a villain running wild downtown, threatening to set fire to a group of hostages lest he were paid a hefty amount of money. John didn't waste any time, he zipped up his red super suit, placed a simple mask against his eyes, and was outside in record breaking time!
"Where is that scumbag..." He muttered, scaling the factory's walls. He heard a wail, obviously belonging to a hostage. Quickly, he went atop the factory's roof, only to bump right into...
His kid brother.
"Dean, what the hell are you doing here?"
The twelve year old stopped in his tracks, dressed in his own super suit. He was known as the "Blue Bandit" for his speed and agility, as well as the color of his costume. "Uh...hey, fancy meeting you here--"
"You know you're not suppose to be here!"
Dean wrinkled his nose. "Neither are you!"
John rubbed his temples as his brother shrugged sheepishly. "You're gonna get us in so much trouble! Go home!"
"You're not the boss of me John!"
The two bickered and squabbled for a few minutes, their voices going from hushed, angry whispers, to louder pitches. It wasn't long before the villain heard them, looking up and shooting a blast of fire from his position down below. Quickly, John grabbed a hold of his brother's arm, yanking him in a different direction to avoid the burst of flame!
The fiery villain used a burst of fire to propel himself atop the roof, a sinister grin on his face. "Well, well, well...if it isn't the super brats."
John grimaced as his hands begun to glow a precarious red. "Your reign of terror stops now Fire Pit!"
"On the contrary, it has only just begun!"
"Hey, you get the hostages. I'll fight this loser." John instructed his brother, who defiantly shook his head.
"No way, I came for a fight too! You can't have all the fun!" Dean got into a fighting stance, his eyes glimmering with blue light. Before his brother could protest further, the twelve year old shot a beam of blue for the villain, who dodged it. Unfortunately, the boy was never too good at using his laser abilities, and the dangerous light went right for a building! It cut the building like butter, and Dean stood shocked. "Oh no!"
"You idiot, you're gonna get everyone killed!" John admonished as he quickly flew for the building. Their alien powers gave them a slight surge of super strength, and the sixteen year old did his best to hold the building in place lest it fall and crush millions. By now, the boys were creating quite a stir. First responders and civilians were beginning to cluster the streets.
While John was trying with all his might to keep the building in tact, this left Dean with the fire villain.
"U-Uh...so...you come here often?"
"Die, brat!" The man hollered, sending several quick balls of fire his way! Blue Bandit dodged them narrowly.
