Cinn Amvess Onthyreth, AKA Cinnamon
Class & Level: Rogue level 4 (thief archetype)
Race: Human
Background: Criminal
History:
Cinnamon was born to a wealthy merchant family. From an early age, Cinnamon had a passionate love for shiny glittery things, from shiny stones to lustrous coins, especially to anything with a magical glow. Though they were wealthy, The Onthyreth family was denied noble status, and the privileges and authorities that come with it. This always bothered Cinnamon, but she lived comfortably through her youth.
One day, a suitor attempted to win her affections with a large, pretty gem brooch. Cinnamon eagerly took the brooch and wore it prominently. She was then accused of thievery, as that brooch belonged to the a noble family and had been stolen some days before. The suitor was nowhere to be found. In order to save their daughter from a terrible punishment, the Onthyreth family paid a heavy fine and were ruined. Cinnamon, forever labeled a thief, fled the city. Her quest was clear. Though she harbored great resentment for the suitor that tricked her, and the nobles that accused her, her concern is to restore her family's wealth. She'll keep the shiniest bits for herself, of course, but she needs lots and lots of perfectly mundane coins to repay her familial debt.
Cinnamon learned her magic from a traveling Vistani circus magician fortune teller who gave her a letter to Warghorts School of Wizardcraft and Witchery where she would initiated by three medallions, Bravery, Intellect, and Strength, as the chosen one.
An hour later, he was gone, with 60 of her gold pieces, but SHE had the magic letter! From it she gleamed parlor tricks like Minor Illusion and Vicious Mockery, and when she gets all her gumption up, she can whip out Disguise Self!
Personality Traits:
Cinnamon is concerned with the swiftest accumulation of the vastest amount of wealth. She is loathe to spend her coins, and will do *almost* anything to get more. She has a weakness for objects of beauty, especially jewelry. Cinnamon prefers to target nobles and rich people when she steals, feelings bad for peasants whom her family is now among, status-wise. She only steals from people she feels can afford to lose a few coin. Or all of it, if they're BAD people!
She also can be deterred from stealing with swift, harsh deterrents, like a good thrashing on the bottom. This is why she does not steal from party members or guilds she is affiliated with... uuuusually.
Despite the cares she's accumulated now that she's of age, Cinnamon is overall a carefree, somewhat naïve, lover of fun. Whatever she can get or do without paying actual money for she will happily partake in. She's often willing to pay high (non-monetary) prices if it means she can save her money, even though it would be much easier or comfortable to just pay in coin, and she is happiest when she can relax in luxurious settings reminiscent of her wealthy merchant youth.
