The Police Dad and Semi-Criminal(for shadowsong2b)

"I just need...this. And this...And this."

A young blonde-haired girl was going through the store and putting goods in her pockets. She had a very bad habit of...taking other things that didn't belong to her. She would take anything...even bad things. It was a very bad habit of kleptomania but she wasn't trying very hard to fix it at this point. She left the nearest middle school this evening to go to a corner store and is already stealing candies.

This girl was named Sakura Kimura. She was rather silent...like she was rather silent while doing the job of stealing nine bags of beef jerky. She was sure it'll work because she was wearing a dark blue over-sized hoodie...she would think so. She hid behind the other parts of the store and while the clients wasn't looking, she ran out in a flash.

But the door made a noise so the clients thought someone entered in...but nobody did. Plus there was cameras so the young girl didn't really do a very good job in stealing from a store after all. She fixed her ripped jeans and shoes...maybe to stop her tracks. "Geez...I'm terrible at this." she mumbled softly and started making her way down the streets.

To bad that there was unfortunately a police car outside and the police could've done anything. Seen what happened inside or was about to go inside or just had a feeling by the way the young girl was walking like she was trying to hide something. Either way...it was going to go from awkward to bad.

Officer Sam Fisher, wasn't your normal beat cop. in fact he was on the virge of getting promoted to detective. So it was just blind chance that he happened to be there when a girl was confronted by the stores owner.

seeing what was going on he got out of his car and walked over "Pardon me?" he asked.

The store owner was glaring at the girl suspiciously and then looked at the police officer. "I said I heard the door open but nobody came in...and this young lady was the only one around...isn't that a bit weird? Me thinks she stole stuff from the shop!"

"Seriously? Blaming on an innocent child..." Sakura awkwardly stopped there. "How dare you." she mumbled...but honestly there wasn't much to save her hide when she wasn't even trying to argue back.

Sam wasn't a fool, and could normally spot a liar a mile away. "Do you mind showing us what's under your sweeter then?" he asked.

"Uh..." Sakura moved a bit and kept her hands in her pockets. It was silent for a few seconds before shaking her head. "I can't do that officer. And don' ask my why cause I can't answer that."

Sam glanced at the owner. "Young lady. I think we both know that answer is garbage. now either a real reason or i'll search you myself." he warned.

"You can't do that." Sakura backed up but she knew she couldn't run away...maybe she shouldn't have skippd gym class everyday. But it's also because the store owner was also there.

"Actually i can." Sam said, producing a small booklet. this was a quick law book, which delt with local laws and regulations. a number of them were highlighted because those were the most common ones run into, and one of them was a regulation that allowed police to search minors who gave reasonable cause. "you can read it yourself if you want." he said offering her the book.
(weak writing on my part but i couldn't think of anything else besides 'reasonable doubt' here.)

Sakura stared at the book and then bit her lip...she didn't know what to say about that. "U-Uh...whatever. Get that...rule book or whatever away from me." she mumbled. "I'm still not showing you what's in my pockets so your wasting your time and energy talking to me."

"Your right. I should just put you over my knee and spank you." Sam said firmly. a steely edge creeping into his tone. "last time i'm going to ask. Turn out your pockets NOW!" he said.
