Kitten's New Home {for cp 2000}

Alexandra, better known as Lexi, wasn't quite sure what was going to happen. The 18 year old neko girl was being taken to what she had been told would be her new home, with a new guardian. She was somewhat mischievous and had a knack for getting into trouble, much like an ordinary cat, and as such she had been told that she couldn't live on her own despite being of legal age.

For the moment she was going along with the 'social worker' that she was traveling with, behaving herself more or less.

Her gaze shifted about as they reached their destination, the wind blowing her white hair a bit. Currently she was dressed in a plaid skirt with overall like straps and a white shirt that came down to just above her knees.

The house that the social workers car stopped in front of looked like a typical two-floor suburban home, with a spacious front lawn, a tarmac drive that led up to a garage door and a wooden porch that sat separated the lawn from the front door.

Despite how typical the suburb looked, it appeared that most if not all of the residents were inus, with many of the pedestrians who passed by turning to look at the two nekos sitting in the car as they went about their business. As it happened, one of these sets of eyes belonged to the owner of the house that the two cat people were sitting outside of, who had been patiently awaiting their arrival from the comfort of his living room for the past hour or so.

Lexi resisted the urge to hiss as she caught sight of the inus, barely managing to bite back that natural reaction. She crossed her arms over her chest and openly pouted as the social worker got out of the car and walked around to the passenger's side of the car, opening the door so that Lexi could get out.

"Come Alexandra, don't make a fuss," the woman said, making a tsking noise at the pouting kitten as she waited.

Lexi debated making a run for it but after a moment unhappily got out of the car, still pouting and holding her arms crossed.

"Good choice," the social worker said, ushering Lexi along toward the front door, knocking once she reached it.

It took only a few moments before the sound of something being unlocked could be heard, whereupon the door was opened to reveal a tall dark haired inu man in a shirt and slacks, who shifted the gaze of his steely blue eyes between the older neko woman in formal attire, and the younger girl in the cute plaid pinny.

Judging by her pouty demeanour, it was clear to the canine man that she was less than happy about the situation, though he supposed that was to be expected of neko girls who'd found themselves unlucky enough to be deemed eligible for what was commonly referred to as the 'Naughty Kitten' program.

"Good evening," the social worker said when the door was opened. "I'm delivering your new charge, Alexandra." She gestured toward the slightly built neko girl who was standing beside her with a pout.

This gained a soft little hiss from Lexi, the white haired neko shaking her head slightly. "Still think this is a dumb idea. Not like it's gonna change anything," she said in a somewhat petulant tone of voice.

"Oh, I think it will," the social worker said with a bit of a smirk. "It's been very successful so far."

After shaking the social workers hand when she greeted him, the inu man known as George Turner once again shifted his attention towards the young neko when she voiced her skepticism of the arrangement, unknowingly validating the decision to place her on the program through her less than desirable behaviour.

"Well, I'm certain this little kitten will be singing a different tune in an hour or so" George said suggestively, stepping aside and gesturing for the two nekos to enter his home as he spoke, "why don't you both come inside? It must've been quite a journey getting here from the neko districts. I can make us some tea and you can tell me everything I might need to know about this little kitty before I see about adjusting that attitude of hers".

The social worker, who's name was Eva, nodded her head slightly and gestured for Lexi to enter the home ahead of her. There was a great deal of reluctance on the part of the girl but after some prodding she did make her way inside, huffing and even going so far as to issue a soft hissing noise to further illustrate her disdain for the situation. She didn't say anything however and instead just decided to let the other two do all the talking.

At least for the moment.

"Well, Lexi's far from our worst case," Eva said, speaking of the girl as if she wasn't there to hear it. "She just tends to act without thinking, she's curious and impulsive." There was a slight pause here and then the social worker added, "Granted, her manners could clearly use some work."
