Trouble at Marienburg
The Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork, modern day Poland in the year 1310, one year before the slaughter at Wopławki. Brother Albrecht knocked on the door of the honored guest, an English knight whose name he did not recall. He knew he was staying here with his young daughter, a maiden beautiful in body and spirit. Obviously she was good marriage material, if she hadn´t such a rebellious spirit. But alas, he didn´t want to get involved in her parenting. His duty was to make their guests feel welcome. Indeed the knights had spared no expanse, for guest crusaders were a source of income and military power for them. The great hall, or Rittersaal in German, was a sight one would not easily forget. And here the welcoming feast would be held.

Elinor opened the door, the unripe beauty her fourteen years old was bewitching. Her blond hair, blue eyes, full lips. Any noble would have made false cards to married hera to his son.
The girl, unlike her peers, wasted no time in dressing up, she had a severe dark green dress, simple and long to the feet, and her hair gathered in a bun.
It was clear that despite her young age she had higher ideals than the rest of the other girls.
Elinor nodded at the man, she was quite tired, her journey had tried her. And yet she was still wary, she suspected that her father was trying to find her a husband, even though she was against it.

"Please call your father, milady. The feast is ready.", Albrecht said in English, even the chaste knight was amazed by the girls beauty and couldn't help gazing at her figure a bit longer than necessary. Meanwhile John, the English knight, entered the main room of their spacious guest quarters and noticed their guest. "Ah, we can go then.", he said patting Elinors shoulder lightly. He was very well dressed as befitted his station, even though they had lost their castle due to debt he still had his pride and would even increase his honor by fighting for the order.

Elinor looked up at the man and nodded.
"Yes, father," she said docile. She straightened her suit and followed the two men.
She was a model daughter, when her father did not try to impose something on her, that event had to be a simple welcome, yet she was still very cautious.

Albrecht lead them to the great hall, which was quite magnificent. The art and manner in which the knights were seated was very reminicent of King Arthurs table round, but John´s daughter was also offered a seat. Quite early servants approached and brought many delicacies, among them Cyprian wine, the best in all of Christendom, and rare fruit. The Teutonic Knights clearly were not shying away from spending money. John was quite amazed, even though he had heard that the Knights were great hosts. It seemed to him that all the food he could buy with his meager purse would taste stale in comparison.
