[Kaeli's Apprentice] - RPG MV game in progress

This was pretty fun! It was pretty well written. While I'd love to see more visuals, good audio and well written text does the trick, too!

I spent a lot of time trying to cross the river to the south of the camp. I bought the axe and rope from the store thinking it would help me build a bridge. I interacted with every tree and stack of wood I could try. I also interacted with every NPC in town and tried using the communication crystal in multiple areas to see if I could get "help" that way, too. I'm assuming I've just reached the current "end" of content with this game. I look forward to seeing more! It was entertaining!

I've only played through once, but I already like the game! I haven't played the original yet either, but I'll have to check it out if this game is any indication.


Two things I noticed though (if you don't mind me pointing them out). In the inn, if you talk to the person in the kitchen, an empty dialogue box will pop up. I'm assuming that'll be written in later? I also can't seem to close the map after opening it.

Thank you so much! I am sorry you got stuck on the river, it really isn't finished! The area will be accessible probably next year. First I am planning to finish the basic story arc, with some content around it, then I want to expand on it and add areas etc.

Thank you! The first game is shorter, more straight forward, and you can't choose the MC gender. But it is finished and relatively bug free

Of course, please point out things There's no dialogue written with the cook yet, maybe in one of the future updates there will be a quest with her.
The map works like this: once you open it, you click with your mouse on where you want to go, or the area where you are, if you just want to close it. I hope that helps

I worked on it in August, but I was slower than expected. This week (the next five days) I am planning to do an hour or two every day. I need to finish three major scenes with one character, and a couple of small scenes with 7 other characters. Otherwise the player would get stuck. Then tie up a few loose ends, so that it all actually works, then play test. So I am getting there, but... yeah my problem is I keep making things more difficult for myself ))

For folks who are having trouble closing the map: clicking on a location will teleport you there and automatically close the map. That said, it would be nice for ESC to close the map as well!

One other thing - not sure if I'm stuck or just missing something - when Confessing to Umma, her annoyance was at 10, so she tasked me with bringing her a paddle. Unfortunately, the only paddle I know of is in the shop, which I'm banned from at this point Is there a different way I'm missing to get my hands on a paddle?

I'm really, really enjoying this so far - thank you so much!

Edit: Just found a little bug - in the house to the right of the old man, if you try to go through the curtains on the right into the bedroom, you end up walking on the walls.

Finally managed to install your game and played it right away. I noticed a few buildings and tents where you could walk into the walls or the subspace. Also a lot of empty speech bubbles and the communication crystal ends the came. After I spoke with kaeli everything that I could it just went black.

But besides these things it was one of the best games I ever played here on this site. It’s great and I really appreciate that I can choose the genders. Played everything as f/m yay.

Just to satiate my curiosity. I can’t enter the castle or return to the school right now that’s correct right? I also can’t repair the bridge right. ( tried to repair it with axe and rope but didn’t find a treetop cut down)

I've also never been able to go inside the castle, or back to the school area after leaving, and fix the bridge :C i hope/wish it was still being worked on

Hello everyone!
This game is definitely still being worked on, don't give up hope I started a new project/job that requires a lot of my time, so I can't work on the game very often, but an update is definitely in the works. Because I am quite busy atm I won't promise anything - except that I won't abandon the game

The castle is being worked on, that's why you can't get in. The bridge will be repairable in the next update, but I probably won't be able to add new content in that area yet.

I am happy you guys are enjoying it so far, please be patient with me while I get a new chapter of my life started
