Today was a warm spring afternoon. The sun was sun was shining with a few light clouds in the sky. On the edge of the town was a skate park. Where people came on roller blades or skateboards to hang out with their friends and show off some tricks.


Sitting on a bench with her feet planted on their board was a young girl of 12 named Nyx. She had short black hair with a strip of blue on the left side. Bright green eyes looking down at her board. Wearing a gray beanie with a rock band logo on it. a white shirt with a mecha on the front with Kanji written on the side, under that she wore a black long sleeve shirt. Light wash jeans that had holes on the knees. Red converse with white tips on her feet.


Nyx was waiting for her brother. He told her he was gonna get something and be right back. She just recently got into skateboarding. After watching her brother doing it. It looked like so much fun and a sense of freedom. You don't need a license or be at a certain height to use one and it's light so you can carry it everywhere you go. She's been using her board to get around from home to school and back or going out to get something from the store. She has a good sense of balance but still struggles with doing tricks. Though she feels like she will learn them in no time.

Liam was a good skater who regulary visited the local park. He was 22 years old and loved to share his hobby with his younger sister, with whom he was very close. The young man knew that she would quickly pick up some tricks, as his sister was quite athletic, just like him. He was quite tall and handsome, with a almost completly shaved head, short dark beard and dressed in an expensive, fashionable sweatsuit. Liam had gone to the soda machine to get himself and his sister something to drink. Smiling he returned offering Nyx a drink. "Hey sis, I see you haven´t gotten yourself into trouble while I was gone, looking forward to learn how to skate?", he asked and readied his board. Liam intended to go slowly but steadily increased the difficulty of what he showed his little sister. "By the way, there is a competition next month, if you show talent, and I think you will, you might be able to compete with other kids when it starts.", he said and then got a call on his mobile phone. "Shit, sorry, have to answer that. Its my girlfriend.", he explained, not exactly happy that his bonding time with his sister was interrupted. But he couldn´t help it. Their relationship was a bit rocky, so Liam had to give her more intention, too.

Hearing her brother's voice. She turns her head to look at him and lightly smirks. When he comment of her making trouble, she rolled her eyes. "Haha, very funny." she said. It's not like she causes that much trouble. So she got into a fight at school last month, there was also the time she was was caught sneaking in past curfew, and there was that one time where she brought home by an officer for trespassing on private property due to a dare by her friends. Okay she might cause a little trouble, but she is still a good kid.


"But yeah, I am excited." she said happily. She watched her brother skate all the time and tried to learn by herself by taking his board. He caught her falling and decided to teach her, even giving her one of his old boards. Which she deck out herself making it her own. Giving it a new paint job and covering it in stickers or video games and anime. As she gets up and grabs her board, he tells her that with training she could be good enough to enter a competition next month. "Really?" she asked her eyes widen with excitement.


Nyx didn't think that she was getting that good, but if her brother thinks so then it had to be true. At least that's what she thinks. You think with the huge age gap between them they would fight all the time. They do fight from time to time, that's just what siblings do. But they got along very well. Maybe because it's mostly just the two of them. Which she doesn't mind.


Thinking that they were ready to skate, she heads over tot he bowl when she heard his phone go off. Telling her that it was his girlfriend. "Okay." she said when told he had to take care of it. Maybe because she is still young but she still find the idea of dating icky. Not to mention she had seen Liam and his girlfriend fight a few times. If that's what it's like then she she rather not have any of that.


Thinking about the competition now. She knew if she wanted to have a chance she needs all the practice she could get. She instead of waiting she gets to the edge of the bowl and goes down. At first she was doing simple movies. Like turning on the curves and tapping the wheels to the edge of the bowl before going back down. But the more she skated the more she tried to do harder moves. She picks up on the speed so that she can prefer a frontside air.



She pumps as hard as she could, gets the side of the bowl, goes up and into the air and beefs it. Her board goes flying and she falls down in mid air. As she lands, she lands on another skater. "Ow! What where you are going!" the skater yells and shoves her off. "Hey! how about watch where you going!" she yells and glares at him. Looking around for her board. She sees it but before she could grab it, the punk grabs it. "Hey give that back that's mine." she tells him.


Now the punk looked about high school age, so he had some height over her. He holds the board over his head with a smirk. "What don't you go and play house and leave skateboarding to the big kids huh?" he asked in a taunting manner. "Dude how old do you think I am? I think you need your eyes checked. That would explain why you can't see where you skating." she said in a cheeky manner. "Listen here you little-ah!" the punk cries as he felt a huge amount of pain between the legs. That's right, Nyx had just kicked him. Which caused him to drop her board and makes a mad dash to grab it.


Before she could get away, the punk grabbed her by the hood and yanks her back. Now holding her by the collar. "You just messed with the wrong guy. Now you are gonna learn the hard way where you stand." he said. Raising his fist into the air and was getting ready to punch her hard int he face.

Liam knew Nyx was a good kid at heart, so far he had mostly stayed away from punishing her when she did something naughty, leaving it to their parents. The thought of spanking his cute sister did not agree with him, even though she might deserve a light spanking from time to time.
When she asked him if she could really be good enough for a competition he laughed. "Yeah really, if you work hard.", he told her amused and watched as she got ready just having finished texting with his girlfriend. Oh man, it wasn´t the best of relationships. A bit toxic, but passionate. She was good in bed and Liam didn´t want to loose her. After all a troubled relationship was better than no relationship, or not? Maybe some day when she was older he could explain to Nyx. The young man just hoped she would understand, but find a better mate.
He sighted slightly, but enjoyed watching the twelve year old on her board. She was doing pretty good, until she bumped into another skater. Liam hissed, it didn´t seem to be that bad, but it still must have hurt.
Liam was a bit slow with intervening, but intervene he did. Holding the fist of the punk before he could swing against his sister. "Hey!! What wrong with you, socking a little kid?! What the hell is wrong with you??", he yelled, thinking he could easily take the punk if the situation escalated. To be fair, Nyx shouldn´t have kicked him, but he would not let some bigger kid hurt her. Hopefully shaming him for picking on a younger kid and the threat of a beatdown would make the thug turn tail and keep some distance.

She closed her eyes and was getting ready for the hit. Expect it never came. When she opened her eyes she sees that her brother came and was holding the punk's arm. She was a little surprise to see him. She thought he was still on the phone with his girlfriend. It seemed that he spends hours at a time talking to her, mostly arguing or saying sorry.


The punk turns his head to look over his shoulder at Liam. "Huh? hey mind your own damn business!" he growls. Trying to wiggle his arm free. As her older brother yelled. People around them were looking on. They whispers among themselves. Wondering what was going on. Some even pulled out this phones to record. The punk looks around and sees the crowd forming. Knowing this wasn't looking good on him.


"She attacked me first. I had the right to defend myself." he said, trying to make an excuse. Nyx rolled her eyes at that statement. "What a lame ass excuse." she mumbles. he Punk glared at her. "Anyway she's not worth it." he said and lets go of her collar. She grabbed her board and takes a few steps away from him. Hoping by letting her go, Liam would let him go.
