Beat the boss at the end. Grabbing a couple of attack upgrades and cheesing them by standing on the raised terrain South of where the fight starts helps. Your attacks can still hit them as long as you're still "touching" but they can't grab you due to their pathing.

The game folder has a pdf guide in it with puzzle solutions/hints. Try checking the chair itself in that area for the first clue, and the 4 diaries for the rest.

I'm quite positive on this game overall. I appreciate any attempt to have art instead of the fade to black most of the games do. My only negative is I want to know what the gate punishment is.
For those complaining that the other girl should have received a worse punishment in the 'good' ending:

I am inclined to almost agree with you, however you're looking at it from, I believe, the wrong angle.
It isn't about what the character thinks, its about the thoughts and feelings of the "player"
The player didn't choose to go in to the forest, the player didn't have a choice about attacking guards, the player still won a really hard boss fight and lost in a handwave, and the player got the short end of the stick at the end, and not seeing the "problem" that was the main driving force in the game, get what they deserved. You can write a thousand words about how this "gate" punishment is worse, but sitting through the player character's punishment without any satisfaction gained from winning, seeing the other girl get spanked, is hollow.
From the point of view of the player, the ending is undeserved, unrewarding, and unsatisfying. This game has amazing art pieces and good level design (besides the too fast monsters) but everything to do with the ending just ruins everything that really came before it.

Yep. Games are about PLAYERS not the characters within them. Their (the game characters) struggles, their stories, their powers/buffs/abilities...all that exists to make an enjoyable experience for the player of the game. And in my opinion, the less 'real choice' you give the player the MORE responsible you are for making a good game with satisfying endings.

After a dozen unsuccessful attempts to pass the first monster, had to sent this game to the trash. More could be tried if saves were available. So sad. There wasn't even a chance to try any puzzles.

Press the A button to fire a stunning spell at the monster after baiting it out. They'll swap to a face down position if you hit them with it allowing you to press shift to run past.
Alternatively, just let it grab you. Despite the ridiculous speed of the monsters, you do have a generous amount of I-Frames to get away from them after wiggling out(With the exception of some areas)
Once you pass onto the next screen, simply head past the tree branches on the left. Make sure to time your movements to empty spots so they don't grab you as well. If you can make it the end of that left path then you'll be able to save. The uh, black cat is the save point for some reason.

Okay finally finished this! Got stuck at the dark forest hehe. I pretty much just feel obligated to repeat and re-enforce everything already said about the game - some sections are too difficult, the mechanics are janky, the lack of real choice feels sad, the characters are terrible, and the ending is bad in almost every possible way with a barely justified spanking as an h-scene that goes on for HOURS with no way to get a break in-between, no possible interaction, and no hint at what punishment the character who actually deserves it gets, not to mention just...not addressing the big reveal about the Principal escaping this forest toward the end; On the flip side, the interaction in the h-scenes before this was great, the puzzles were not too hard and not too easy, the inclusion of a walkthrough was welcome, the art in scenes was beautiful, the setting and plot were good and made sense, and it was just overall a good experience barring the absolutely abysmal ending. If an H-scene goes on too long with no breaks and nothing the player can do or change, it stops being sexy and quickly starts to become just...boring. But it could've been, like, a nice epilogue where we get to walk around - preferably save in between scenes to take a break - talk to the other students and quell the rumours being spread or exaggerate them to spread them even further! But again, other than that it was a good game with great h-scenes. I hope to see more of your work in this style; Perhaps, maybe even an expansion on the interactive h-scene system you've set up for this one?
