Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

I'm an old dude so my childhood cartoons included:
Transformers
Voltron
Centurions
Star Wars: Droids
He- Man & She-Ra
Inspector Gadget (had a huge crush on Penny when I was a kid!)
GI Joe (my crush switched to the Baroness and I was 'broken' forever!)
Mighty Orbots
Silverhawks
Mysterious Cities of Gold
Jem (I was in love with the Misfits!)
Ulysses 31 (soundtrack is so awesome!)
Star Blazers
Robotech
Astro Boy (1980 version)
Anyone else have fond memories of those?
The last three were my "gateway" into anime and even then (before I knew how "edited" they were), I knew those Japanese-made cartoons were different and more "grown up" than the western ones. Seeing people die rather than parachute out, especially main characters, really had an impact!
Astro Boy still moves me emotionally today (seriously, watch 'Astro's First Love' and I defy you not to bawl your eyes out), and I seriously think all kids should watch it. It was the best teacher of empathy for others that I have ever seen targeted at that age. Astro's message of "don't be an asshole" is a timeless one.
PS the two most obscure cartoons I loved and nobody else seems to know of was Robotstory (now largely lost media) and Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch (which rewatching now is like an awful acid trip!).
PPS part of my spanking "awakening" was actually an episode of an old cartoon called Belle and Sebastian; my memory is foggy now, but a teenage girl switched a lineup of younger boys (though you just see their reactions, not their bottoms) as punishment and I was *entranced*. I was confused why I was so obsessed with that scene! As someone never exposed to real corporal punishment, that reminds me how we can be "born that way".

Because I went from having an "appropriate" crush on a sweet girl character my own age (Penny in Inspector Gadget) to a having a crush on a villainous woman old enough to be my mom who wore black leather, spoke with a sexy accent and was basically a dominatrix!
If I wasn't a spanko before that shift, I was after! LOL!

Despite my being mostly a F/m fan and spankee, there were two panels in the Marvel GI Joe comics that *really* messed with my mind as a kid:

I seem to recall drawing my own "fan art" of her wearing that first pic's red lingerie! LOL!
