Dragon Ball: The Next Gen (for RavenSaint)

Years have passed since Goku took Uub back to his village to train him to be a hero for the next generation of the earth. This came at a great time as Beerus and Whis needed help recently to help track down a multiverse level threat. Not just him but Vegeta, Broly and even Gohan were recruited for this mission, leaving the earth down to very few defenders

Two of these heroes are currently training in a deserted rocky area. Piccolo, in his typical outfit with his cloak and all, was currently training with his newest student. Pan may be older now but he had to hold himself back from really hurting her. She has so much potential but she still can’t go Super Saiyan yet. He dodged her attacks expertly before counter attacking and knocking her to the ground with one kick. “I know you can do this! Don’t you dare hold back against me!” He ordered, trying a stern approach but he was still much nicer compared to when he trained her dad

There is hardly any defenders left on earth...so it makes perfect sense for someone to at least try to step up in case the planet needs a hero. So what if one is a teenager who is part Saiyan and wants to be a hero like her father and grandfather? And so here Pan is, training with the man who has helped raised her Piccolo. Of course it took some begging to convince Piccolo to train her like he would train her father, even though there is no way for the raven haired beauty could tell that there was no way the Namekian would go to the lengths with her that he did with her father.

At least she managed to convince the male to give her clothes that look similar to his own, somewhat in homage of what Gohan wore when he saved the world from Cell.

To bad having a similar outfit doesn't mean having similar skills as no matter what she does Pan can't seem to land a single decent blow upon her trainer. The potential is indeed there but it is somewhat wasted if the raven haired beauty doesn't improve. Especially as she barely managed to stop herself from hitting the ground face first from her instructor's kick. "I-I'm not holding back!" Pan claims before using a ki blast from one hand to hit the ground so the impact could make her fly towards Piccolo so she could try throwing a punch with her other hand, though said punch is planned to be a feint so she could try a jumping kick she saw her grandad (not the strong one) once do.

Piccolo has taken part in countless battles and sparing matches up until this point so nothing should she can do can surprise him. And with how much more powerful he is, she would need surprises. He dodged the kick and grabbed her ankle and held her upside down and flared at her from this position. “You’re not a child anymore, I’m not going to baby you anymore! We have no idea how long Goku and everyone will be gone so you can’t afford to be soft!” He told her before throwing her towards a large rock. He hated being so tough on her, but this is the only thing he can think of to show her how tough of a situation they’re in.

With all of Piccolo's experience and training he has already done one could possibly fit Namek itself between his and Pan's power levels. So there is no reason why the male would not only see the kick coming before his protégé even attempt a breath but also effortlessly grab her ankle to leave the teenager dangling helplessly. Especially since now the green skinned man can now shout at her for being soft. Truly Pan knew the importance of what her trainer is explaining to her so in the long run she would be appreciative of this treatment...though right now isn't that time as Pan is suddenly sent flying towards a huge ass rock.

"Light of Death!" left the girl's panicky lips as, possibly in a desire to not smash her face into the hard stone, she managed to get some ki to two of her fingers and blast what looks like a small version of her trainer's Special Beam Cannon at the rock. Possibly out of her trying to do it quickly, thus a lack of charge, the beam looks relatively small...but it is just enough to blast a small enough hole through the rock for Pan to fit through. So the black haired girl managed to land on her feet on the other side before beaming with a bright smile and jumping happily. "It worked! It finally worked! I've been trying to do that since seeing father do it!" ecstatically leave her lips as she fist pump happily.

Too bad this celebration has completely distracted Pan from the fact she is supposed to be training right now...

Piccolo was a bit impressed by her creativity but snarled as he saw her turn her back to him and celebrate as if she won a battle. “Don’t turn your back to your enemy!” He called as he raced up and grabbed her by the back of her shirt. “You think you can just disrespect your opponent and they’ll bend their knee to you?” He asked, holding her in the air sternly. Out of nowhere, he raised his hand and gave her a stern swat to her backside, hoping that was enough to give her the picture

On one hand the creativity could be potentially praised, even if there was a real possibility of Pan's bubbly behind being too big to fit through if the hole was a couple millimetres shorter, but all of that would be completely wasted if one were to blast the halfing to smithereens while she was celebrating her successfully move. So who could blame Piccolo for grabbing the back of his student's shirt to lift her up into the air.

"Youch!!" nor the stern swat against Pan' plush tush, possibly something she could've inherited from either her mother or grandmother, as immediately the black haired fighter reached both hands back to rub her bum. "S-Sorry! I didn't mean to disrespect you Piccolo...I promise to take this more seriously..." though this wouldn't be the first, second or even fifth time Pan has made such a promise.

“This wouldn’t be the first time you told me that!” Piccolo said sternly as he sighed. Something had to change with this girl. The fate of the world depends on it. “Move your hands. I’m going to give you the same punishment I have your father when he wouldn’t take my training seriously.” He said sternly. “And don’t make me tell you again or move your hands for you.”

Sometimes great students need stern teachers that would do what it takes to take them to the next level. Probably why Piccolo was the one who trained both Pan's father and uncle to their current strongest forms. So if the fate of the world depends on it...perhaps it is time to incorporate necessary punishment to the girl he helped raise from a toddler. "Bu-Bu-Bu...yes Mister Piccolo..." said upbringing could also possibly contribute to how obediently Pan moved her hands away from her bubbly bottom and hold them in front of herself.

Piccolo nodded as she did as she was told. He was surprised she was taking this so well, by this point her dad was kicking and screaming when he had him in that exact same position.
