Dragon Ball: Family Reunion (for JASTYLES)

Gine did her best to try and compose herself but seeing the man and her son try to comfort her only made the tears leak out even more. She had no idea what to say as she stood there, flustered and looking like a scared little girl. She tried to get the words to escape from her mouth but nothing came out. With nothing left she could do as she couldn’t even summon the energy to fly right now, she ran away into the woods, leaving behind light sniffles in her wake

Gohan watched the woman, Gine, with a heavy heart. He could see the struggle in her eyes...like she was caught between a life she couldn’t return to and a world that felt foreign and cruel. It was clear she was a kind soul, but the weight of everything she had lost was too much to carry all at once. Her tears were a painful reminder of that.

Goku stood beside him, watching the scene unfold. The boy’s face was scrunched in confusion, unsure of what to do or how to make sense of the woman’s sadness. It was unlike anything he had ever faced before—Goku was used to fighting, used to facing down foes, but this wasn’t something he could punch away.

Goku’s heart ached to see her cry, and before he could even think, he called out to her. “H-hey, wait!” He stepped forward, as if instinctively wanting to run after her, but Grandpa Gohan’s hand gently caught his shoulder, stopping him.

“Let her be, Goku,” Gohan said softly, his voice filled with wisdom. He patted the boy on the head, his touch as warm and steady as ever. “She’s far from home. This world is strange to her, and even the people she thought she knew... they’re not the same anymore. She’s lost a lot, Goku. Right now, she needs time to herself to figure out what to do with all of this.”

Goku’s brow furrowed, his confusion growing. “But... I want to help her, Grandpa. She looks so sad.”

“I know you do,” Gohan said with a knowing smile, his eyes softening as he looked at Goku. “But sometimes, Goku, the best way to help someone is to give them the space they need to sort things out on their own. When she's ready, she'll come back. And when she does, we’ll be here.”

Goku nodded slowly, though his young face still carried a hint of worry. His heart felt heavy with concern for the woman. He didn’t know what to think about her being his mother or what she meant to him, but something deep inside him cared for her. Maybe it wasn’t love, at least not in the way that he understood it, but it was something. It was a feeling he couldn’t quite put into words.

“She’ll be okay, right, Grandpa?” Goku asked quietly, looking at the woods where Gine had disappeared.

Gohan gave him a reassuring smile. “Yeah, Goku. She will. But right now, we need to trust that she’s doing what’s best for herself. And you did the right thing by showing you care. You’re a good boy.”

Goku didn’t fully understand it all, but he felt a little better. He knew Grandpa Gohan wouldn’t lie to him, and if he said everything would be okay, then maybe it would. Goku could only hope that, wherever Gine was, she would find a way to be at peace in this strange new world.

And so, as Goku turned back to follow his Grandpa into the house, a small weight lifted from his chest. He wasn’t sure what the future held, but for now, he would respect her space. And when the time came, he’d be there to help her in whatever way he could.

Tears left Gine’s eyes as she sniffled and whimpered to herself slightly as she ran aimlessly into the woods. Tears blurred her vision as she ran without second thought. She felt so stupid that she could pretend like everything was going to end up as she imagined it. After a good while of running, she would trip over a log on the ground and lay face down, crying and feeling bad for herself

Later that night...

The forest was unusually still. The cold air wrapped around Gine like a heavy blanket, the darkness embracing her in a solitude that had become both comforting and suffocating. It had been a few days since she had retreated to this isolated place, away from everything that had once been her life. Away from the memories of Planet Vegeta, from the echoes of a past she couldn’t escape. The nights were cold here—lonely, too—but they were safe. Or at least she told herself that.

During the day, the wildlife around her was more active. There were occasional encounters with wild animals—most of which she could easily swat away without breaking a sweat. Her Saiyan strength made her more than capable of defending herself in this new, uncharted life. Still, it wasn’t the threats from the creatures of the forest that kept her awake at night. No, it was the deep, gnawing ache of isolation. The weight of guilt. The fear for her son, Goku. What kind of life would he have without her? Would he remember her? Could she even protect him, wherever he was?

But tonight, it was different. There were no sounds of rustling creatures, no distant howls of predators. It felt… peaceful. Maybe she could get some rest tonight, finally. Maybe she could forget about the turmoil that had been consuming her for so long.

But then, out of nowhere, a deafening roar shattered the silence, a sound so raw and filled with primal fury that it shook the very ground beneath her feet.

ROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAR!!!

It wasn’t like the occasional roar from wild animals defending their territory. No, this was something else—something Gine knew all too well. Her breath hitched as her heart skipped a beat. That roar was too familiar. A gut-wrenching fear surged through her, freezing her in place.

It was the cry of an Ozaru. A giant, uncontrollable beast, driven by madness and destructive instinct. Gine had seen these before on Planet Vegeta, often from the warriors who transformed into these colossal monsters under the light of the full moon. She had witnessed the havoc they could cause, the destruction they left in their wake. She had never imagined it would be so close to her.

But what's more their was a voice that came calling from with in the woods...

"G-Goku! Goku Stop!!" The voice called sounding very familiar to Gine "Gokuuuuuj"

It was the voice of the old man from a few days ago...calling that name he gave her boy Kakarot...that couldn't have been a good sign, what was he even doing in these woods?? Did he follow her into the forest with Kakorot???

As Gine was about to fall asleep under the stars, cold and alone, she heard the roar in the distance and immediately jumped up. “B-Bardock?!” She asked herself, knowing that roar from anywhere. It was the same pitch and everything. But that’s impossible. The only possible is… “Oh no…” Gine gasped as she bolted towards the direction of the crashing sounds and destruction. “Hopefully I’m not too late!” She yelled to herself as she used the little energy she had to zoom around

As Gine might've suspected a giant Ozaru was rampaging through the forest, destroying trees and smashing animals. Gine had seen this all before...but from this perspective, it was so horrific. The black of the night enhancing the ruby red glare in the eyes of the Ozaru, it was a menacing sight to behold. From what Gine knew, this form wasn't easy for young sayians to control...and given how carelessly it was stomping about, it was obvious that it was merely acting on instinct rather than consciousness.

The old man from those days ago was indeed present, and was trying his hardest to catch the attention of the Ozaru at hand, it was brave but ultimately hopeless...there was nothing that old man had that could deter the power of the mighty Ozaru, even if it was a child. And it seemed as though as Goku too his next step it was getting ready to crush ol' Gohan once and for all...

"No! Goku...NOOOOOOO!!!"

Like a bolt of lightning, Gine dashed forwards and saved the old man before anything catastrophic could happen. Making sure the man he saved was safe, she would stand up and grit her teeth. She knew her son had the power to transform like the rest of her people, but she was so foolish to forget about it as she was so busy feeling bad for herself.

In an effort to try and get him to calm down, she dashed forward and grabbed the back of his tail with one hand. Standing behind him, she held the tail with one hand and with the other gave a firm swat to his transformed butt. He shouldn’t feel it but it was about getting the message across. “Kakarot! I know you can hear me! You need to regain control!”

Gohan grunts as Gine dashes into him, knocking him over to prevent him from getting crushed by her son's monsterous form. He honestly was surprised to see her again...and in such a vital moment. Before he could even thank her for her rescue she had already rushed over to the tail of the boy in his big form and was trying to reach him. He was very impressed with her show of braverly.


However while Goku wasn't hurt by that swat, he definitely noticed the woman, roaring loudly as he swung around to try to swipe at her with his large monkey hand. Her words just weren't reaching him. He was too out of control while in this form and his sayian genes for dominance and control were too powerful while in this form.


"It's not use!" Gohan yells to her trying to keep cover in hopes that the giant Kakarot wasn't going to redirect his attention to him again. "He’s too out of control to listen, and too big to fight..."

Gine gritted her teeth, she had to do something. She couldn’t just abandon her son, especially when she knew he had no control over himself. She wasn’t a fighter but she was using all of her energy to keep herself from getting destroyed by this beastly transformation, while also avoiding looking at the moon so that she doesn’t transform either.

Getting behind him once again, she gave another firm swat to the large behind in motherly fashion. She didn’t think she would have to spank a large hairy bottom until he got older but here she was. “Kakarot! I know you can overcome this!” She called, trying to speak to him once again
