Midnight sighed, and looked away,"Yeah, sure, fine,"He replied, as he then walked away. Now just having the party in mind and wanting the conversation to end. He didn't like how she tried to encourage him to go. He had hardly any confidence in himself when it came to dating topics, and he was very reserved. He knew it was only a bluff. Still he was a little disappointed by it but he couldn't get mad at it. After all, he did it to himself being the way he is.

Akira watched as he walked off and pursed her lips before walking off herself. She hoped she didn't pressure him. But she was sure she didn't this time around. He actually wanted to go. And she was going to make this party really good for him.

**TIMESKIP - 7 PM**

The sounds of music blaring and people chattering was heard in the gym. Akira was wearing a short sleeved black shirt, jeans, and leopard print jacket, and pink heels. She knew that Midnight would be here eventually. She just knew it. It's why she waited for him outside.

It was getting late and Midnight hadn't shown up. Minutes turned to hours, and soon had come to an end. And the only memorable thing that Akira had, was the fact Midnight had stood her up and lied to her. Which deeply upset her.

The following days, when Midnight attended school, he was traversing the campus via alternate routes, and when he couldn't take his scenic route, he hid his was in crowds, sporting a hood over his head as he did on both occasions. Seemingly avoiding confrontation from Akira, knowing he let her down and he couldn't handle the guilt of seeing her pissed at him. He's been lucky so far but that would only last so long.

Minutes turned into hours. And eventually, after a few passed, Akira assumed that she was simply stood up. Which was not what she expected from him. He had respect, at least. So this was shocking... and hurt a bit. But she continued the party as normal. She'll just approach him later.

Right. Later. Easier said than done.

Akira the next day was looking all over for him in the sea of students. He was lucky for the first couple of classes. But that didn't last long. She recognized that hoodie. Once she approached him, she put her hand on his shoulder firmly and was now walking beside him, giving him a smile that SEEMED genuine but was honestly forced.

"Midnight! There you are. I was looking for you."

Midnight tensed up a bit. He knew his luck would run out eventually. He didn't give any sarcastic remarks, she wasn't playing any games this time, so neither would he.

He takes a deep breath and doesn't turn completely to face Akria, but he did look her in the eye and behind that smile, he could feel her anger behind it. He wasn't sure if he should lighten the mood or not, but she did want some kind of explanation for him not showing up when he promised to.

With the hood still covering his face, he speaks to her. "Hey Akira..."He greeted calmly.

"Hey!" Akira raised an eyebrow at the hood. He usually never wore one from the times she's seen him. But she decided not to question it for now. Something else was more on her mind.

"So um... about last night..." she whispered. She knew there were a few people around and didn't wanna make a scene to embarrass him.

"... Is there any reason why you didn't show up? You could've just-... told me you didn't wanna show up from the very beginning. Rather than just-..."

"... I don't know."

Midnight looked around at the amount of people that were walking past the two of them.

"C-can we talk about this in a more private setting?"He asked her. Not wanting to cause a scene in the middle of the hall or be witnessed for his reason of why he didn't show up to the party.

"... Right." Akira looked around and decided around the back of the school was for the best. She moved her head in the direction she was going, indicating she wanted him to follow outside. Once they were out and around the building, there wasn't any students around this time. Though the sounds of chattering were still there it was faint.

"... Alright. Talk."

Midnight nodded," Alright, but first," he said as he then took off his hood, revealing a some Bandages covering around places on his face, his cheek, the bridge of his nose, and forehead. He also had a faint bruise under his right eye.

"Sorry, had to take off the hood it was irritating my head,"Midnight told her as he scratched his head a bit.
