Strange... I voted for all three but it only put down that I said romantic... odd.

Anyway, I kinda have no sex drive at the moment from a certain medication... but before I lost it I used it for romance and sexual things.

At the moment I mainly use it for punishment and stress relief. When I'm upset or stressed, or feeling guilty... nothing helps more than a good, firm, loving OTK spanking. I'm a switch so it goes the other way around too. =P

For me it is for discipline and romantic, as it is usually roleplaying or ageplay. But real discipline could be nice too.

Both in fiction and in real life, I prefer erotic spankings with "naughty" trappings. Like, the spankee screws up in some minor way and gets punished for it, but really the spanker was just waiting for an excuse to get at his/her ass.

Whether or not the spankee is aware of this depends on the story. I think my favorite stories are the ones where the spankee starts out not understanding why this is happening, but figures it out partway through the spanking when they realize they're basically being used sexually. The sub is probably also turned on by this point, despite being indignant. Depending on the spanker's whims, sex may or may not follow.

I prefer an unwilling spankee, either way. Actually, it's possible to combine the two, to some extent. The spanking is punishment, but the spankee is aroused anyways.

I'm not really certain what kind of scenario I like best. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a consensual, playful spanking that not only arouses me but leaves me kind of warm and fuzzy inside afterwards. Other times, a harsher, much more punishment-oriented spanking appeals to me. I guess what really turns my crank are new ideas or fresh takes on standard scenarios. There's no need to re-invent the wheel, but when it comes to fiction, I really want to read something that's going to be memorable. The same is true of art, though with drawings even a familiar scene is appealing if its excuted skillfully.
