Resturant Job^^

Mr. Radium, manager of the Smith Diner, looked at his new employee. When his sister quit he had but an add in the paper for a new waitress and Carolyn Alexander had been the first (and only) person to apply, and she had easily gotten the job. Now he had to make sure she knew her duties at the diner, which was one of those family restaurants that people usually went to a lot on Sunday after church.
"Carolyn," he began. "I'm sure you know what a waitress does so I'm not going to go much into it: you just take orders and deliver them to the cook. And you know the order of authority, right?"

[Jamis]

Carolyn had arrived at the Smith diner at 4 that Thursday, the time her two hour shift would be starting. She was dressed in her uniform, given to her on her last interview. It was a plain seeming black dress with an apron, though the skirt seemed a touch short. The strange thing was that it regulated her panties, normal white ones but that seemed to expose the undercurve of her bottom.

She often was guilty of daydreaming, but being her first day she payed strict attention to Mr. Radium. She was mildly surprised by what he said, though.

"Ya, and bring back the food of course. Do I have to do any cleaning or odd jobs? And wait, no I dont. Order of authority? I know you're the manager." she said.

Mr. Radium nodded his head at Carolyn. He had a feeling she wouldn't know the order at first, which is why he was glad she asked what it was. He had noticed how the skirt looked on her the moment she walked in, but there was another reason for that, but as long as Carolyn behaved she wouldn't have a reason to worry.

"Yes, you will help with cleaning near the end of your shifts, the places determined by my son, Rai Jr. The order of authority, what I like to call the Pecking Order, goes you;the other waitress, my daughter Moon; then the cooks assistant, Bob followed by Jim the cook; Rai Jr, then me."

[Jamis]

She shifted uncomfortably, resting her hand on the skin of her thigh. She nodded when he described her other duties, thinking it was fair.

She chuckled, saying "I guess I'm at the bottom. Thats not good. But what does that all mean?"

Mr Radium smiled a little bit when she asked what it meant. looked like he had to spell it out for her.
"What it means is that until we ever have to hire someone else or get promoted you're at the bottom of the barrel. Picture it this way: I'm the President while you're the recruit in boot camp. What it also means that if you make a mistake you can be punished by anyone."

[Jamis]

She frowned a little, still uncomfortable. It made sense she was at the "bottom of the barrel" It just seemed odd that it was set out so clearly.

"Wait, wait, punishment? For mistakes? I just started, it's not like I'm going to be perfect! And by anyone!?" she said, a little alarmed. She had seen the section on discipline when she signed to accept the job, but she assumed it was just what got you fired like drugs/not showing up etc.

Mr Radium nodded his head at her a smile crossing his face a little bit.
"Yes, punishment. I know you're new so nothing will be done, unless you break five dishes in less than ten minutes or spill coffee in a customers crotch. the punishment is on page 3 of the paper I gave you. Now, get to work...and welcome to the Smith Diner Carolyn^^"

Unsure of how to act, she got up hesitantly. She knew she should be taking customers to their tables, but she had to read this contract. She went into the kitchen and pulled it out of her bag and flipped to page three. Her eyes popped open at all that it said. She could be punished for general lazyness, poor work, breaking things, giving the wrong order, swearing, or at customers request, among many other things. This was ridiculous! All it said about what that punishment was was "Waitresses will be punished by anyone higher in the order of authority, and in the manner that person chooses," A bit curious, she put away her things and went out into the front to avoid a punishment already. She escorted a family going for an early dinner to their table. It wasnt very busy, and other staff had all the other customers, so she sat down at another table to wait until they had decided. This seemed like it would be easy, but she was unsure that this job was a good idea.

The father of the family was the first one who was ready to order, but since the others weren't he simply looked around. he noticed how Carolyn was just sitting at a table and brought this to Moon's attention when she was passing by to deliver drinks to another table. She nodded her head, passing it onto Rai.

Rai walked over to Carolyn, hands on his hip.
"Taking a break already?^^"

She hopped to her feet as soon as she saw him walking over to her. "No! There was just nothign else to do and they aren't ready to order yet! So there was no reason to stand." She was a bit worried about already attracting negative attention towards herself.
