Welcome to Winthrop Academy (for kitten)
(May contain mature scenes, with characters over 18 years of age )
David Wentham was nervous. He fidgeted, adjusting his red tie, staring at the senior boy's dormitory in front of him. David was a first year at Winthrop Academy and it was a long-standing tradition that younger boys served the old boys in a sort servant's capacity, in return, the older boys helped guide the first years through their first semester at the elite all boy's school.
He looked down at the paper, crinkled by nerves in his hand and bit his lower lip. He had been assigned to a 6th former, Dante Delacoeur. None of his friends knew anything of the boy. But he was in room 211 Wessley Hall. The nervous brown eyed fourteen year old shifted from one foot to another; the door before him read 211.
Guess this was it.
He rapped on the door a little harder than he had intended to. After about 30 seconds, the oak door creaked open, revealing a study unlike anything a first year's dorm would have, off the study were three doors--two, he might learn in time, leading to bedrooms linked by a bathroom, and a third to a small kitchen area.
A tall boy with dirty blonde hair, shaggily hanging over his green eyes opened the door. He wore the red and black striped necktie of the senior boys, though with less coarse precision than a younger boy would. His grey blazer clung tightly to his older adolescent frame. The boy at the door had to look up a good 8 inches to the senior.
"Are you..." David nervous spoke, fingers clutching the assignment in his hand. "D...Dante Delacoeur?" The dark hair fourteen year old reached up to smooth his hair down, refusing to meet the older boy's eye. He was a bundle of nerves.
The eighteen year old blonde boy smirked. Most people couldn't tell the difference between him, Dalton Delacoeur, and his older by 25 minutes twin brother, Dante. But this didn't seem to be one of those situations of mistaken identity. "Nope. Come in though." He opened the door wider, allowing the guest to enter.
"Dante!" He called towards the kitchen. "Your kid's here." Dalton sure as hell wouldn't let this intruder be known as the 'younger brother' to his older twin brother.

"Thanks bro." Dante called, he sauntered into the room and took a drag off a cigarette. His own sweater was unbuttoned around a crisp white shirt and his hair was cropped close to his face, just slightly hanging in his eyes. He smiled. "You must be David." He said.
He paused and looked around thoughtfully. "Welcome to the academy. Find me an ashtray." He commanded, looking at the boy and expecting him to jump at his words.
Jeremy Pritchett stumbled out of the bushes he'd been playing in. Giggling at his filthy clothes and starting to pick leaves and sticks out of his hair. The woods around the school were more then enough to keep his wandering spirit happy!
He shook himself and started for Wessley Hall, hoping the senior boy would understand his need to climb about in the bushes and trees and such things. It was a natural thing to do in the wild place he was from.
The boy was thin and pale. His hair a curly mop on his head and his eyes a deep blue. A peppering of freckles lined his thin face and his mouth was wide and friendly. He knocked a little too enthusiastically at the door.

"Right. Umm... David." The fourteen year old's eyes were round as saucers as he looked from the easily dressed boy with the shining prefect's badge who opened the door and the casual mirror image who had just emerged. They were brothers? They looked identical.
They were twins?
"But..." David finally seemed to come to some sort of sense. Where would he find an ashtray here? "But... smoking's against the rules!" He had to read them all this summer. And sign a statement agreeing to abide by them.
Dalton rose his eyebrows, grinning to his brother as the younger boy protested his first duty. The oldest twin had been right, this would be a lot more interesting being on the senior end of a big brother relationship.
But Dalton didn't have too long to contemplate his brother's new charge, as the door was once again knocked on. "And that'll be mine." Jeremy or something. Dalton strode forward, opening the door again, and looking down.
"Oh." He took in the wildly dressed boy at the door. "Um... my." Dalton couldn't help it, he reached out and retied the boy's tie. "You have a little... is that a bird's nest in your hair?"
There were both in for a ride.

Dante's smile slipped right off his face. "Rules do not apply to me." He said in a dangerously sweet voice, his smile not reaching his eyes this time. "Find it!" He barked. There was no way his little freshman was going to tell him the rules!
Dante moved to sit on the small couch in the front of the dormitory, snickering at the boy in the doorway. Dalton was going to have a fit.
Jeremy grinned brightly, letting the other fuss over him a bit. "Well!" He grinned and plucked said birds nest from his curls. "An' there it is!" He laughed to himself. "Hol' on! Gotta fix this 'in up in a tree some ere!" He started to scamper off again, in search of a proper place to put said birds nest.

David's eyes widened again in disbelief at the boldly smoking upperclassman. They almost seemed to be taking up half of his face. He had heard from some of his hallmates that a big brother could make his little brother do just about anything--and that they even had rights, like teachers, to punish them.
David was hoping and hoping that was just something the second years had said to scare them. Still. He didn't want to find out. "Um...I ... okay!" He scrambled over to one of the desks, pushing through the papers and books there. There had
Dalton had raised a finger, about to say something, when the younger boy scampered off to put back his pet accessory. "...Okay then." He left the door open, figuring the kid would come back, and strolled over to the couch with long easy strides.
Dalton flopped down on the couch next to his brother and reached up to take off the pin on his blazer. "We're switching." He pinned it on his brother's sweater. They were perhaps a bit old to trade places like this, but that didn't mean it didn't still happen.
He wondered how long his brother would wait before telling the kid pawing over his desk that the ashtray was on the coffee table in front of the couch.

Dante looked at his brother and shrugged. "If they can't figure it out themselves." He smirked softly and watched David while shaking his head. "Boy!" He snapped. "Get over here. Its on the table!"
Jeremy scurried back into the room and shut the door, looking at the two on the couch. He grinned and sat down in front of Dante. "Why'd yeh give yer brother yer pin?" He asked, looking at Dalton with curious eyes.
Dante laughed and stood up. "David." He put his hands on his hips. "Come here now. We need to talk to you both." He pointed. "Right there with...." He paused, pretending to have forgotten the others name.
"Jeremy!" The boy piped up audaciously. "Call meh Jeremy!"

"Because we're going steady." Dalton looked at his brother then to the boys and smirked. He placed a hand around his twin's waist and stood up. It was a line of joking that made a lot of boys uncomfortable. But something in Dalton's green eyes was shockingly serious.
David dropped the advanced mathematics textbook in his hands and turned around. He was like a skittish little squirrel. "I..." He looked at the table right before the two older boys and immediately saw the ashtray. He felt like an idiot--but wondered why he had been asked to fetch something in Dante's arm's reach.
"Right.." He hurried over to the table and picked up the ashtray, smiling uneasily. "Here you go.. um... Mister Delacoeur?"
Dalton glanced sideways at the two boys, his still less tidy than he would have preferred and tucked a curl of his brother's golden hair behind his ear. "We're both Mr. Delacoeur..."

"Mr. and Mr. Delacoeur to be correct." Dante smiled and tapped his cigarette into the ash tray. He slipped his hand into his brothers pocket as the two regarded their young charges. "Very good. If a little late David." He regarded the boys and cleared his throat.
"Now then boys. We have a few rules here at Winthrop." He smiled winningly. "For one we expect you to always be cordial. We do not abide lateness or laziness nor untidiness." He looked from David to Jeremy.
"What if it is well meant untidiness?" Jeremy asked. "Don' mean ta be disrespectful or nothin' just somma us cannah get th' whole cleaned up thing straight..."

Dalton smiled at the hand, turning more towards the boys. "I'll take this one." He slipped, not far away, but towards the two freshmen. He still stayed against his brother.
"Jeremy, I'm Dalton Delacoeur." He held out a hand, studying for the first time more seriously, the boy he had been assigned to. The boy was a mess; his hair needed to be combed, his jacket was improperly buttoned, his khaki pants were stained with grass and dirt. The only thing right was the tie he had already fixed. Dalton was amazed nothing was torn--nothing he could see at least.
"Winthrop Academy is a very prestigious school. It will not do to make shabby first impressions like this, kid. Treat your uniform with a little more respect." He stepped forward, dismissing Dante's kid for a moment as he tried to fix Jeremy. "Brush you hair and... your jacket's all messed up. What were you doing? Cleaning a barn?"
David offered an uneasy smile still holding the ashtray. It didn't seem he had upset Dante. His eyes shot over to the boy Dante's twin was fussing over. He didn't know him, but suddenly, he seemed better off that the other boy at least.

"Oh I know!" Jeremy grinned and hopped up. "I try to... I don' meh ta be so hard on the thin' jus..." He frowned. "This mop? Don' brush it. Won' brush." He shrugged. "I waren't cleanin' no barn! I was jus' out lookin' aroun is all."
Dante looked at him with an easy smile. "You don't look too worse for wear. Now stand up. Back straight, shoulders square. I won't have you looking like some little mongrel. Hold yourself up with pride." He gestured for the boy to do as he was told.
"Just to banish any rumors you may have heard. We do punish you." Dante smirked. "Now it won't always be a demerit. It may not always include something humiliating. I prefer the... hands on... approach to such things. Don't you agree dearest brother?"
