“Mushroom!!” And with that, the picture was taken! “This will look wonderful in the throne room!” Princess Peach said, “We’ll have it framed after everyone has had a merry christmas!”

Viras asked “So, have you kids written your letters to Santa yet?”
“Umm… do mental notes count?” Millie asked sheepishly.
“I wrote it about a week ago!” Naomi said, quite proudly.

"Well, I had, but..." Rodrigo mumbled, remembering he had a different wish now.

"I thought this might happen, Prince, so I brought your letter to you." Toadette smiled, handing it over.

"Toadette, you're AWESOME!" giggled Rodrigo, writting on it!

Palutena also camed prepared. “Come now Millie, write your letter. It’ll help you practice your writing skills!” Truth was that Millie had stopped believing in Santa a while back, but she played along with her siblings, not wanting to hurt you. That and she had even become hopeful that, if so many other “fictional” entities were real, why not Santa?

As the kids wrote their letters, Zelda Toadstool said “We have arranged to have a typical Hylian festive meal, as tomorrow’s will be more traditional after all.”

“Well… I’m a bit fuzzy on what might count as traditional here; after all, there are so many different cultures here.” Viras admitted.

Kondo joked “Don’t worry, it won’t be KFC”, denoting his country’s more… unconventional Christmas fare.

"What is KFC?" Rodrigo asked.

"Probably some traditional food?" Peach wondered, also tilting her head.

“No, it’s fast food fried chicken! It’s great!” Millie explained.
Viras mumbled in a low voice “I prefer “Pollo Campero” myself.”
Palutena said “It’s fine, but it can be had ANY other day. This is a special occasion for all, and we’ll have more classic Christmas food.”

"Speaking of everyone, we had invitations sent everywhere on our Warp Pipe Network!" Mario said.

Then, they heard a booming laugh, as someone with a santa outfit and beard entered! "Bwahaha!"

"Santa!" Rodrigo cheered, running...and hugging Bowser, who was dressed as Santa Claus!

"Merry Christmas! And a Koopaful night to you all!" Bowser cheered, "Who wanna deliver some gifts?!"

"B-Bowser, it's not midnight!" Peach whispered, making desperate signs!

Millie caught on but was endeared by Bowser’s act. “Santa, auntie Peach is right, it’s very early. But thank you for coming anyway!”

Naomi could also tell who it was, but played along. “Thank you so much for visiting us, Santa!”

Luckly, innocent Rodrigo fell for it line, hook, and sinker! "Aww, already? We didn't even get to visit Santa's workshop!"

Bowser sweatdropped. "H-huh...it's not goodbye, kiddo. I just came earlier to say that I'm preparing an awesome present to ya later today!" he promised.

"Yaay! It's a promise!" cheered Rodrigo, letting go of Santa Bowser!

"See ya later! Have a koopaful night!" Bowser replied, as he went outside...as ever faithful Toadette covered a confused Rodrigo's ears so Rodrigo would not hear Bowser chewing out Roy Koopa for not having told Ludwig to fix his clock and making Bowser show up early!

Wendy Koopa was similarly covering Bowser Jr's ear as they entered the room, shaking her head. "Sheesh, I TRIED to tell King Dad he was too soon..." she grumbled, annoyed!

“Well, it’s the intention that counts, I think it was super sweet of him.” Millie said, as she finished her letter. “Wendy, can you help give Sandy Claws this letter?” She asked with a knowing wink.

Princess Peach was just happy that Bowser appearing in her castle unannounced wasn’t a bad thing anymore, and her mother Zelda said “Well, who’s up for some good old fashioned Hylian Solstice Stew?”

Wendy chuckled. "Sure thing. C'mon, Junior, go play with Rodrigo." she told her little brother, smiling as she let go.

But Rodrigo smiled, "Hyrulean Stew!"
