"Thank you, Isi." he said softly, and pressed his cheek to the orc's chest. "I'd have been lunch for those wolves without you..." he added. The soft skinned fox was rather nice on the orc hermit's eyes. Everything about his appearance screamed "girl" at first... But he was clearly a boy upon getting to know him a tad more.

Tyler was so soft and warm in his arms. Like the fox was simply meant to be there. Isi kicked himself, reminding sternly that they had just met. Even if Tyler was the prettiest thing he'd seen.

"Don't worry over it. Its something like my job, to help travelers." He was paid by a town deeper in the forest to keep a specific stretch of road free of dangers.

"Do you...Mmm." He wanted to ask about Tyler's village. But loosing everything so quickly was bound to be traumatic. Isi wasn't sure if it was alright to ask.

The boy wriggled a little, and looked up at him, like a meek little pup. He was... Tired. Blood loss and running, and scrambling up a tree had that effect. Shocking, really.

"Do I what?" he asked quietly.

He looked pale and wan. Some lunch would likely fix him right up.

"Nevermind." Isidorous chickened out. They were home, anyways. His house was small. The perfect size for a bachelor. Just one room, it was built into the side of a hill, under the roots of a truly ancient tree. But it was sturdy and cozy.

"Here we are. Don't move." Isi set Tyler gently down on a bench by the door, before he ducked inside for supplies. A salve and water to clean the wound, and then bandages to wrap it up tight.

"This is going to sting. But hold still." He warned, his tone growing stern as he knelt before the fox.

Tyler gulped cutely, and looked at him nervously. "Define 'sting' first..." he mumbled, practically seeming to wilt. He didn't like pain. It was... Painful!

Instead of explaining, Isi simply dumped the water over the wound, cleaning it as best he could, then spread a finger full of salve across the open cuts.

"Bout that much." He said simply. If he had been honest, he suspected it would have only worried Tyler more, and made the whole ordeal that much more difficult.

The foxling yowled as a harsh sting washed over him, his knees nearly giving out from the sudden shock.

"D-Dammit, warn me!" he snapped at him, a pout on his face that was rather adorable.

That pout just made Isi smile. How could even an angry expression look sweet?

"If I'd warned you, you would have just been scared or tried to get out of it." He started to lay the bandages. Tight, but not overly so. "The sting just means the wound was dirty. The pain means the salve is doing it's job."

"Yeah well... Hurt." he mumbled, tail flicking a bit. He was very... Kiddish. It was adorable.

His anger didn't last long. After a moment or two of wiggling, Tyler pressed a bit close to Isi's chest. The orc's warmth was... Soothing.

"You did very well to endure it." Isi couldn't resist patting the boy's head, stroking briefly between his soft ears.

"I think you've more than earned some lunch. Hungry?" He asked, standing.
