Millie finally relented. Rodrigo's backside was very hot and red, and he was crying. She felt like he'd learnt his lesson, so she took him up and hugged him, kissing him on the brow, and said:
"There, there... It's over now... Just remember to respect other people's things, ok? I'll get some lotion for your bum-bum and we'll watch the Emoji movie, deal?"

Rodrigo bawled hard."O-okay..." he said,and sniffled,"My bum-bum stings a lot now..."

Millie brought the balm and applied it on his bottom. He flinched a bit as it was applied, but Millie was gentle. Despite her often greedy and selfish behavior, she really did have a soft, motherly side to her.
Millie put the blu-ray in the player and the film started. Since Rodrigo's butt was still pained and slimy from the ointment, he lay down, and Millie let him rest his head on her lap; truly a heartwarming image.
The movie, however, was far from heartwarming. An hour and a half of cringe-inducing jokes, poorly-written characters, lazy animation and blatant corporate greed started to show on screen, a shameless, insulting farce, the worst film of 2017. Rodrigo eventually sat up on his own, his rear-end healed, and both him and Millie shrunk into their seats, cringing like mussels when the tide lowers.
When the film ended, a moment of silence went by. All they could do was sigh in disappointment, their faces in their hands. Millie finally said:
"I'm so sorry."

Rodrigo softly nodded."Sorry again,I tried to spare you from...well,you know." he remarked,sadly.

Millie shook her head and said:
"No, Rodrigo. It's not your fault. You did good by throwing this... THING in the trash where it belonged! And I spanked you for it. I'm so sorry..." she said, head in hands "How can I ever make up for this?!"

The boy's voice showed hesitance.
