Telek laugh incrediusly "my dear if you think there is someone better than you to talk to around here are sorly mistaken." he told her "but besides your charm and natural ability for conversation you have an extrodenarilly high mental power. this place basiclly eminates of brain power." telek then stopped he seemed to be ready to say something else but changed his mind "like I said wee should take a seat and get something to eat."

Ria looked stunned and cocked an eyebrow at him, unconvinced. Mental power? If anything in her life she'd been belittled for being absent minded and not clever enough - she'd always been distracted and deep in thought with other things, and this was never (apparently) the right stuff.
She brushed down her dress and pointed off to a small pub.
"There's the 'Nag's head' over there." she said, purposely choosing a pub she didn't work in. "It serves food and drink - it;s cheap and cheerful, but it's nice."
She smiled and led him to it, walking in and holding the door open for him. She could be polite if she wanted to.

Telek siled at her "do you have any pie?" he asked her after a quick nood he seemed estatic with joy "then please bring me a piece of your best pie." he said
"and how about you Ria what would you like?" she asked

"It's better than dying from what's in the water." Ria commented. "If you've ever seen a guy die from cholera you'd do the same. And like I said, the town's pretty small. But she actually dated my cousin for a while, so I know her better'n most."
She smiled.
"And, pardon the question, but what is it with you and my brain? It's a little creepy, if I'm honest. I've got nothing special.i'm really not all that clever, I mean, my schoolmistress didn't like me."

"I doubt your school mistress was a master psionisist." he said pointedly "and the only reason they may not think you are clever is you where to smart to learn from those simpletens you cant teach a god to be a mortal and you cant teach a genius to be anything but." he told her "wich is why I am here." he told her "I wish to teach you to be a psionist."

Ria looked flattered and stunned. He was right, part fo her trouble with education was that it moved in a to slow and restricted way. She had been interested in other things and picked up skills quickly enough that by the time they even began to access her she had grown bored of them and so put little effort into attempting to get them right. She was branded as a fool and a truant, and had been told it so many times that she'd started to believe it.
She wasn't exactly sure what a psionist was, but she'd heard the word mentioned a few times and it held an ancient sort of weight to it. Instinctively, she seemed to realise it was a grave matter not to be scoffed at.
She nodded silently to herself, looking nervous.
"Psionist? .....isn't that like a kind of psychic?" she eventually tried to clarify.
She didn't break eye contact with him, even when the drinks and food arrived.

Ria watched him eat, fascinated.
"That's amazing..."
she relaised she was staring and quickly dropped her eyes, tucking into her own food. When she observed he was ignoring his own drink she nudged her beer towards him, indicating that he could share it if he wanted.
"To make matter simply out of bending your will....that's stunning." she commented. She was about to ask if he was pulling her leg about the whole thing, but didn't. Yet again her instincts proved it was true. Logically it made sense. She'd always mused over whether everything had a little of God's matter of creation in it. If it did, existing invisible to the human eye as she had daydreamed, then surely it could be manipulated by will.
"So how do I factor in all of this? ...you want to teach me? I mean, it sounds like something that could take decades to learn - what do you have to gain out of this?"
