Castiel smiled when Anna said that he could be her personal guardian. "I'll keep you safe!" Castiel proclaimed with a decisive nod of his head. When the princess led the way over to the spot where his mistress was speaking with the king, Castiel trailed along at her side. The turquoise eyed little boy looked up at the king for a moment before he did offer up a bow. It was a bit awkward but that was just because he was little and because of the armor that he was still not accustomed to wearing. "Your Majesty..." he said quietly.

The King smiled genially, patting his head. "Arise, sir Castiel Sunbeam!" He humoured the boy. "I am entrusting the life of my dear daughter in your hand. Are you ready for the trip?" He enquired as Eliza smiled softly at her ward. "He is showing great progress for his age, my lord." She answered him. "Although he is finding his way across my knee much more frequently. Perhaps Anna could help with that." She teased him.

"I'm ready," Castiel once again declared. "I'm gonna do a good job and make everyone proud!" The little thing tapped his chest with his arm as he said this though he turned toward his mistress as she spoke about him. At first he felt pride upon hearing her words but when Eliza told the King that he was finding his way across her knee more frequently and then mentioned Anna helping the little squire frowned.

"Nuh uh!"

Anna chuckled at his protestations. "Aww, he's too cute to spank." The princess replied as the King let out a hearty laugh. "My, seems to me that your ward is taking after you, Eliza. I remember when you were his age, a spunky little thing."

He bent down and hugged the boy. "Do our kingdom proud, Castiel. But do not worry about this, you are with your mistress and nothing will happen. Enjoy the trip and learn." With that he turned to Eliza and gave his blessings before doing the same to Anna.

After that the tour was about to begin. "Castiel, you will ride along with me in front out of the gate. Once we leave the city, you may go sit with Anna." Eliza ordered, taking the flank and rearing her horse to gallop.

Castiel nodded his head when Anna declared him 'too cute to spank'. "See? Listen to her, she knows," the little squire said with a decisive nod of his head. After that he looked up at the king as the man spoke, the child grinning slightly in response to his words. "Yes sir... I mean Your Majesty," Castiel said when he was told to do the kingdom proud, the little one attempting to act and sound grown up as he made this statement.

He once again scrambled into the saddle of his pony once they were ready to depart, his gaze going to his mistress as Eliza issued her orders. "Yes Mistress," he said with a nod, the little one pursuing her with his pony when she took the lead with her own horse. His pony had to work somewhat harder to keep up but the spunky little animal somehow managed.

The party rode out through the capital, the streets thonged with people wanting to see the guardians and the princess in the travel party. There were a few guards carrying plenty of gold and spices for trade. Anna sat in the central carriage, waving at the subjects. Eliza rode proudly, her armour shining in the bright sunlight. She looked over to Castiel- she knew the little one would be tired soon in the hot sun and hoped he could rest a little with Anna in her carriage. After all, they wouldn't leave the emerald isles till sundown.

Castiel was trying his best to conduct himself in the manner that Eliza had made clear she expected but that was hard for the little one to actually do. Mainly because he was a child and he was so outgoing that it was almost impossible for him to remain aloof the way that Eliza had said was expected. Actually recalling that exchange between the two of them caused him to remember that he was upset with his mistress, Castiel nudging his pony a slight distance away from the horse that was being ridden by his mistress. Not enough that he was no longer with the party but he did put some distance between them.

Eliza noticed him going farther away from her and ignored it first, thinking he was being his normal goofy little self. But as time passed, she notices him drifting farther away from her. As they had passed the capital and were out in the countryside, Eliza broke ranks and went towards him. "What's wrong Cassie?" She asked her ward in a worried tone.

Castiel shifted his turquoise eyes toward his mistress as she came towards him and asked what was wrong. The little squire looked away from her after a moment and muttered, "You were mean to me before." And he really didn't understand why he had been scolded for his reactions to the city since it wasn't as if that was really something he had control over. Not to mention the fact that he had never been told he wasn't supposed to act in that manner.

Eliza saw his face and sighed at his words. "Oh, Cassie..." She turned around and motioned a guard to come to them. "Take his pony, my squire needs to have a strategic discussion with me." She commanded him as she lifted the boy with one arm and placed him on her lap facing the knight.

"I'm sorry little one." She said softly, gently running her fingers through his hair. "But you have to learn how to be a knight. It wasn't proper of you to cower in fear and let a common guard question you like that. You are the protector of our realm. There are standards you have to follow as the highest ranking noble below the royal family." She said softly.
