Annoyed at DMCA request

We just received our first DMCA request through our hosting provider against manga in our galleries, meaning I'll have to take it down. This has annoyed me enough that I've decided to post a link to the content on nhentai . If this continues to happen in the future, I may even make a page on our site linking to all the content we've been forced to remove via DMCA request.

On a slightly related but really unrelated note, any images that artists request we remove via PM or through our gallery reporting feature, as long as we can confirm that it is the original artist, we always honor take down requests. If you post your art here, you don't have to worry about it staying up if you request us to take it down. However, I would note doing so often just hurts the users of the site, especially those who have favorited or commented your images.

That's such a random dmca. That comic is ancient. Not to mention im not even certain that artist is still creating works. So who would even go after that work specifically. So weird.

I know, right? It was from https://irodoricomics.com/ - and I searched on it and couldn't find the specific comic. I told the hosting provider if it happens again from the same source I'll require proof.

I'm not going to lie, I am honestly amazed that they would do this? That comic has been on here sense IDK how long. and clearly it's not exactly hard to find on other pages. There's stuff on Deviantart that should have the FBI kicking doors but someone took the time to do a DCMA on this? I question the use of time in this very much.
