For the record, I didn't. But a friend did show me the scene towards the end of the book, which is why I was surprised I'd never seen any mention of it on this site.

Shame how it jumped from buildup to aftermath like that, still pretty impressive though.

FYI, I really can't explain the scene too much, being as I didn't actually read the book. Seems this girl smacked this guy with a rock, and he was understandably none too impressed.

YES. The entire first book pretty much leads up to the spanking. Which is preceeded by an entire chapter of lecturing. In the next chapter, the top's boss informs him, in front of the bottom, that he spanked her right in front of the tower window and that pretty much everyone saw it.

It continues to be a running joke throughout the next two books.

Is it any good besides the spanking? John Ringo books have a lot of that content too, but they're terrible.

Yes it is. Great series, tremendously well plotted and well written, and very original. I will definitely be reading more of John C. Wright's books.

And great cover art too. I actually got introduced to the series through a cover-art thread on sffworld. I thought, "that is an awesome cover!" Then I read the amazon.com review, found something in the review that stood out for me

, and placed the order.

Yes I love that book. read all 3 of them in like 2 weeks. the spanking in the first is good even if they did not have the spanking in it just the before and after. just reading "" I said, quietly, "I'm sorry." He put his hand on my bottom. He Waited. I said, quietly "One..."" It was just to good...
