Should I get dreads?
I've actually been contemplating this for a while. It's actually a pretty tough choice. You know, there are various pros and cons. Dreads definately look badass, and they're easy to take care of. However, getting them would send my blackness levels through the roof, so is I get them, I can say goodbye to any possible use of cabs. Also, cops would start hating me even more. What do you think?

I say go for it. I have dreads and it is a love/hate relationship at times. I truly love them but sometimes they get on my nerves. Imagined bad hair day issues. If you want help, or advice, I can have my fiance give you some tips here. Just remember one important thing. Once you have locks they are there to stay. The only way to change your hair afterwards is to start from scratch.

Your safety should always be important. If you feel you would be in danger, then don't do it.
There are very violent and crazy people out there.
If you feel safe and you have a support structure of friends liviing nearby, then do it.
Ya gotta weigh the options. Worth tha fight or not.

Dude, hair should not frighten you for any reason. Do as you please with it, regardless of the cost. I have a spikey and braded mullet, and I am happy. SO in answer to your dilema, I give an emphatic HELL YES!!!!!!!

What? I don't know what thats all about. I was kinda messin around with the whole blackness thing. It's really more of a qm I sure I want them thing, cause I've gone the last 13 years without cutting my hair once, and I don't wanna mess that record up. But I'll probably do it. I'm not sure I need any help. I have African textured hair, so I figured I would just go with the back-combing meathod. But, it's gonna take some thought.

I could see you doing them, even though I've never seen you. If you have long hair, I'd say just do it. Atleast it keeps it somewhat neat instead of just long and lanky, right?

I suppose, however I've always enjoyed the lankyness of my hair.
