I mean we can use it for other things, images, and such, but no not the IRC stuff.

The only problem is that images are archived as non member (the web crawler did not have an account ). You can get the thumbnails, well some of them, but not the full images. Furthermore I think even though many of us have backups it would not be fair to post for the resident artist without their permission. If they request it no problem, but quite a few like to receive both the credit and the comments as its is their due. Lets not alienate them.

Exactly. the wayback is not going to give full size images. The only thing is to hope that people do have backups on their computer.

I also mentioned it in another post before about adding to the Community gallery and the resident artists albums. This is NOT allowed. I'll contact them individually and ask if they would like me to lock an account at this forum to that album so its their choice to upload.

Yeah your right, I looked into it. I was surprised cause I was able to follow a link on a different spanking website, that has been long since dead to the image. Just kinda thought it might work with that as well. Oh well.

I assume the rules for former AOTK artists don't apply to the non-member sections? I'm working on filling out the non-resident galleries, since I was the one who filled a lot of them in the first place. Here's the list of what I can restore to reasonably complete:

I can take a decent stab at the manga scans and Game CG sections as well, but I know my backlog is nowhere near comprehensive. Just too much stuff to stay on top of. I took a look at the unknown image pool, and parts of those galleries are in there but I'd as soon pretend that album doesn't exist. Whoever threw that stuff up there deserves to be drawn and quartered. It's a mess.

Worry not, RobM knows who I am already. I used to mod the AOTK galleries with him. The previous poster's problem is that he had no goddamned idea what he was doing. I'm the one who organized the listings you're using in the first place.

How many images are we talking about here in total?(rough estimate) I don't know if my server can handle 5 years worth of the old AOTK in one day.
Me and RobM also have an import so we can pack them and upload in a minute instead of one by one so its worth talking to one of us anyway.

The second thing I saw on your list Ai? Like Robin? If so I'm not entirely sure he would give permission to put them here in the first place.

That might be a better way of doing it - but then you'd miss out on Dr.Weirds sarcastic and ironic commentary as he uploads - and thats a tragedy I assure you~
It might be more prudent to use the upload tool to fill a few of the galleries though. I'm tempted to auto-dump the MASTER gallery using that feature.

I say go for it, filling the galleries, as you say you know what your doing~ Start with the smaller ones. If there's any that don't exist (the architecture is a few months out of date) lemme know.

Regarding my gallery, I give total permission for anybody to upload my art there. I'm trying to recover an old HD who had those originals, so for the time being, I don't have my own drawings anymore :P
