After 16hrs of work it appears the gallery is functioning correctly. I say appears because the final test has not been conducted. the only way to test this is for members to start uploading. After a few members successfully upload it should prove that the gallery is finally stable.
Wow, that was a lot of work.

I just want to know for sure. Has it been ruled that it is completely impossible to retrieve the images from the old AnimeOTK site? Isn't there a database or anything with the gallery? Surely it was stored somewhere that SOMEONE can reach. I know AI is not very talkative, and may not want to give away that database, but I feel it would really help.

No, there isn't a way to retrieve the old AnimeOTK site. The owners of the database are long gone, and probably not coming back.
Obviously no one likes to start fresh, but with all of the artists who are around, all it takes it a handful to jump in and re-submit their work and this forum will be fine. To be honest I'm not stressed about not bringing back the old stuff. I'd like to have it here, but to be honest, I'd just like to have a good time in this community.

The old stuff was good. We will have to be a good community to bring back the old artists along with plenty of new ones. Maybe a few writers as well.

Yeah, it will just take a bit of time, everyone will eventually find here someday. Might take me days or weeks, or months but we'll have a new group of people meshing with old people from the last site.

Mina actually linked me to this site, bless her demonic heart. A lot of members of the other site still have random images downloaded to their hard-drives. I'm one of them. I dunno if I'll be able to post them here because I never could figure out the complicated and often times esoteric rules from the previous site for posting non-owner art. Many of the images are not signed, and I have no idea who made them.
Obviously I can sort out the ones of recognized/member origins, but the rest are a crap shoot, and I have no interest in being banned for making a silly blunder. o.o;;;

If anyone has a solution for me, lemme know. Maybe I can send them to a mod or something and let them decide beforehand.

Sure, I have a perfect solution to people with a lot of random artists' work. Once the gallery is in order I'll contact you and show you exactly how to go about it.

Is there a button somewhere that takes you to your favorite pictures list? I have faved a few art pieces and am having trouble finding a button if there is one.

There is one. I think its in Your User Control Panel>Gallery tab>Manage Favorites.
