It was a winter night and a girl was trudging through the snow with her clothes ripped and tattered. She shivered not wearing a jacking. She was a fairly pretty girl at 14. She had long brown hair and bright blue eyes. She also was a fairly skinny girl almost to the point where it was unhealthy how skinny she was. She then fell forward her leg bleeding a bit. She had gotten in an accident and explosion that killed her parents but she luckily made it out alive. She sighed s he fell into the snow her face and parts of her body feeling as if it were numb from the bitter cold. She laid in the snow feeling extremely sleep from bleeding out and being cold. She was sure she was going to die.

The smell of blood was overpowering for Cyra, even when not in her cat form. But who could be this far out into the woods and bleeding no less? Shifting into the form of a giant lion she made her way through the snow to the source of the smell, only to find a young girl laying in the snow.

She sighed, gingerly lowering her head to huff at the child before lifting her as gently as possible by the back of the shirt, partially dragging her along to the warmth of an underground compound where she shifted back to her human form and lay the child gingerly onto a bed before getting a healer.

as the healer went to work Cyra, queen of that particular tribe, transformed and curled up on the bed around the teen to help warm her up.

The girl slowly started to wake feeling the warmth of the room "H-Huh what happened?" she asked curiously looking around. She then noticed the big cat and gasped and tried to struggle but was to exhausted to even move. She whimpered "P-Please dont eat me!!!" she whimpered as tears started to well up in her eyes and stream down her cheeks. She look absolutely terrified. She tried to move her legs but she couldnt because the big cat was n top of them. She then hiccuped softly. Her hair was a bit matted and tangled from being out in the snow

Cyra moved then, gently nuzzling the girl while purring softly before leaping off the bed and transforming into her nearly human form. "We don't eat humans kid, I found you in the snow and brought you here so you wouldn't end up bleeding out or freezing to death." Cyra said in a soft, soothing tone.

"what happened to you?"

The girl looked at her "M-My house blew up and both my parents died. i think there was a gas leak cause they went to light a candle and the house blew up. Im the only survivor" she then had tears streaming gown her face "Now I have no where to go" she said whimpering

Cyra regarded the girl for a moment before saying "if you want you can stay here. my tribe and I would welcome you." she gauged the child's reaction before adding "as of right now, lets get something warm inside you...You almost had hypothermia when I found you. Does venison stew sound good to you?"

The girl looked at her "Y-Yea" she said softly with a nod. As soon as she was handed the bowl she took a bite then her eyes widened as she quickly devoured the bowl. She then looked up at her "C-Can I please have some more?" she asked holding her bowl out. She then rubbed her eyes as she started to feel sleepy but she really wanted some more stew. She then looked up at her "Wh-what about school?" she asked "They are going to call if i dont make it in tomorrow" she said softly

Cyra quickly got her some more and sighed at the question

"Call where? you said your house exploded. We'll work something out but I think you at least need to rest for a day because you lost a bit of blood. I'm just glad that my fur kept you warm enough. As for right now, What should I call you? I am Cyra, the Queen of the werecats in this valley."

the girl looked up at her "Vanessa" she said softly. She then started to eat the bowl of stew. She then had a little on her face. She then laid on the bed as she rubbed her eyes falling sound asleep. The next morning the run rose and she poked her head up looking around

Cyra was laying sprawled out on a bed nearby, Snoring. the only indication that she wasn't human being the long, furry tail that twitched ever so often in her sleep.
