Just wondering...how many Spanking Impliments do you own?
I have just recently started hanging my paddles on the wall in my bedroom...and was surprised at how many I really had.

In all I have 5 paddles of variouse, thicknesses, shapes and sizes, One nylon flogger and one leather strap.

I love seeing them hung on the wall....though when company comes over I hide them...no need to scare my visitors!

hmm, let's see... all wooden: one paddle (currently hanging up, and you're right about the hiding), one hairbrush, one ruler, and one wooden spoon. i also have a wooden backscratcher, but that one i actually bought to be a backscratcher

Do you mean only things that were purchased with the intent of being used as a spanking device? Because I'm fond of improvisation.

I would say anything that you use for spanking purposes count...even if they are unconventional!

All I've really got in the way of potential SI is a wooden spoon...and possibly a few slippers...except we never use them as SI. My parents were hand based people, and they haven't "done me" in over 10 or so years...and that is SO unfair! You have no idea how much I want to know how these impliments feel like.

Six paddles, one leather whip, one cat o' nine tails, one crop, one hairbrush, 6 evil looking belts, and one leather scourge (the whip, cat, and crop are mostly for show, I bought them cause the looked kinky. And the scourge is a tiny thing, useful only for stinging). Oh, and switches are easily available where I live too (lotsa trees).

I've had a while to collect my toys, Arkham. One paddle is an actual school paddle. One belt is three inches wide with various leather pouches, I think it was used for police work long ago, as there is a gun holster on it. It's from Yonkers New York service mfg co. It's a heavy thing, black, wicked looking and it creaks ominously when handled. I found it at a garage sale here in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The whip, riding crop, cat, and scourge I purchased from the ritual items section of Azure Green catalog I used to get in the mail. They also have an online site. The prices range from $2.95 for the crop and scourge, to $3.95 for the cat, to $ 5.95 for the whip. Pretty affordable stuff. It's not top of the line merchandise, but it is neat anyway just to have.

Coo, where to start~?
The arsenal grows by the month, currently I'm looking for somewhere to store it all~

I won't talk about the improvisations so much, I do have a slipper - a bad one, it didn't perform like I wanted. Damn. I have two belts I use also, one's brand new and really floppy. No rigidity, so it's whippy and flexable. The others old and cracked leather, very rigid and firm (ie, if I loop and and hold it level by the buckle and end then the middle will stay horizontal and won't sag, it'll stick out straight). The belt is slowly but surely growing on me, I used to HATE it because of the fact it's the number one implement for abusive parents and is just used FAR TOO MUCH and to excess - not that I agree with hitting any child ever. However. It's slowly growing on me between adults.

Actual implements
Start with the wood: wooden spoons! Frankly I use them for cooking rice and noodles when I'm not out spanking. There is one that I've actually used specifically on a few people, but its not sentimental exactly. As said, I'm not going to go into improvisation.
Hairbrushes. I own three, and one black one I use to make my hair straight.
I've got a cherry coloured oval brush, it's thin and really light so makes a hollow sound when striking and is really whippy. Another is a large 'airheadz' paddle style brush. It's much thicker (Almost 3/4 inch) and his harder with a lovely thunk.
Finally, I picked up a japanse baythbrush, simple carved wood and a looong handle. It's a nice thing to hit with but I've not really used it before except for a swing or two so I can't talk about how it behaves in action.

Leather. I'm a leather fan. Well, alright, at least as far as implements go, I don't like leather for much else (oh wait, ballgags, them too~)
I have a leather paddle that I've had for a while now, it's a good thing, makes a great snapping sound - far better than a belt - and leaves these wonderful marks with stitching visible and distinct on the target bottom. It also can be used OTK. It's shaped a bit like a strap - but believe me, it's a paddle, not a strap~
My straps are made on the old lochgelly style. I ALMOST got an antique Lochgelly tawse made by Messers J. Dick the original lochgelly maker on eBay, but the blasted thing was just bid above what I was willing to pay considering I didn't think it'd be in the condition to be used~

I have a perfect three tailed lochgelly tawse from MC Customs (whom I recomend) made on the old designs and it's just beautiful, it strikes like a coiled snake with a whickering crack and slap on flesh. The colour is a little bright because it's new leather, but I'm proud of it. At the same time I also purchased a glasgow style medium strap. Again, just perfect action. Neither of these can be used otk but they CAN be used on the palms of the hand without causing injury and they'll fit into ANY roleplay~

I havn't used my own yet since I only bought them a few months ago and havn't had the opertunity - I've used other peoples to great effect so I look forward to it~

I should mention the old "Making a paddle, making a cane" thread. I ought to update it. Someone deleted all the pictures off my camara (and it wasn't me, darnit) so I can't show making the prototypes.
I've got two canes, one small travel cane that goes in my travel case with the seperate handle I made: The cane works, it's not very long but it works nicely. It's Koboo rather than rattan and about 7mm thick. I have a second piece at 1m length thats 12mm thick.
I've only used the travel cane once and the spankee declared that it was far to painful, she could only take three before safewording the scene. I've taken two from a very similar cane as an experiment with an older and more experianed gentleman friend. I can assure you that if my travel cane is half as good they hurt like a sonofabeeyatch.
