"...and the winner of this battle is the Aqua Angel, Kasumi--and her op, Maki! Give it up!" cheered Mami, as the afore-mentioned op jacked out of the machine.

"Th-thank you!" the girl murmured, clutching her PET protectively and smiling shyly. "And thank you, Aquaman and Shuko, for an amazing battle."

After the festivities were over, Kasumi and Maki went outside the Den Dome to read the tournament board for the next match. "Ooh! Look! It's Protoman and Chaud..." said Kasumi excitedly. "Did you work on our chip folder yet, Maki-chan? I don't want to lose this one..."

"Mmhm. But it isn't even time yet...do you want to look around a little, Kasumi?" She smiled. "I know you're looking for some Mettaurs to test your aqua-bombs on, but just relax..."

"Ah well, you are right most of the time, Maki! Let's go then..."

"....Hmph.Looks like we are next.Is our chip folder ready,Protoman?" Chaud asked.

"Yes sir!All ready to go!" Protoman said.

"Good." Chaud said,looking at the opponents.(Looks like Megaman failed to get here....oh well.We'll have another chance to fight Lan after he trains more.If he failed to reach us,he wasn't worthy for a match this time.) he thought.

"Sir...?" Protoman asked.

Chaud sighed."It's nothing,Protoman.Get ready for the match."

Maki and Kasumi came back into the Dome after a stroll around. "It's really nice out today, and I can't believe all the net navis who wanted to meet you out on the Net!" Maki remarked, grinning. "I hope you gave them our link..."

"Don't worry, I did...is it time yet?"

"Five more minutes...aren't you tired of asking me? Or does someone like our opponents?" Kasumi's operator winked.

"Oh, if I were out there...you watch it!~ Meanie!" Kasumi's cheeks were turning pink, but she was smiling.

Five minutes have passed.

"It is time.Protoman,get ready.Battle routines activate." Chaud said as he went to the arena.

"Ready!" Protoman said.

Maki followed suit and jacked into the machine once again. "Battle routine, activate! And may the best man win..." She smiled.

"And Kasumi's op has wished her opponent luck! How noble! This ought to be some top-class Net Battling, folks!" the announcer chirped, to the delight of the cheering fans.

"....Good luck." Chaud said,simply.

Protoman materialised on the virtual arena.He looked at Kazumi."You don't look that strong...however,don't think for a minute I'll underestimate you." he said to her.

"Why thank you, Proto-san!" Kasumi said as she appeared.

"Alright, let's go, battlers! The final round--START!!" blared the announcer on the loudspeakers.

"Ready to go? Alright, use Bubbler!" Maki put in the chip, and her Navi's signature bubble-cannon appeared.

"Aim...and...FIRE!" Kasumi sent a shot of bubbles flying at her opponent...and hoped for the best!

Protoman easly avoided the bubbles,them dashed in her direction.

"Protoman,Long Sword!" Chaud ordered as he put in the chip.

Protoman sliced at Kazumi.

"Haa!" Kasumi jumped back to the very back row, dodging the blade. She stayed back as her operator put in another chip--a bomb this time.

"Use the Energy Bomb, Kasumi--go, go, go!" Maki watched the navis anxiously as the little Aqua navi flung it across the arena.

"Good plan...so...." Chaud said,them got two battle chip's ready,using them with an speed only a very skilled op could have."Defend with Stone Body...attack with Fire Sword!" he ordered,as the bombs exploded on the Stone Body without causing much damage and Protoman sliced at Kazumi with his Fire Sword,this time faster than before."
