It was late into night at the elusive House of Mystery where three heroes namely Superman, Shazam and John Constantine were working tirelessly trying to open a portal into the dystopian world of Hell.

No one knows why the anti-hero sought passage into Hell, only that it needed a massive supply of arcane energy that was met by the appearence of one Billy Batson. And accompanying him was the Man of Steel to provide enough backup in case things went south.

Billy was quite excited to be able to help Superman and Constantine with this. He didn´t fully trust the anti-hero but guessed that Supermans presence proved that his goals were noble. The boy tried to hide his emotions, though and seem just as imposing, calm and heroic as the Man of Steel. "Are you finally ready with the spell?", he asked, as he no longer was able to keep quiet, urging the magician to get it done. He was using his adult form of course and did not expect which side effects the spell to open the hell-portal would have on him.

"Yes. Yes." Constantine responded with a surly nod as he began chanting the spell. The room becoming engulfed in arrays of oranges, reds and blues that quickly seemed to fizzle out with high pressured blast that knocked out the magician.

Superman rushed into the room upon hearing the seismic boom and gasped at what he saw. A.....child in Shazam's clothing and a knocked Constantine.

(Billy wouldn´t be wearing Shazams clothing. He only has the costume on when he has transformed.)

"Alright! Then then show me what you can do!", Shazam said clenching his adult sized fists in excitement. He was impressed with the colors that engulfed the room and looked at them with awe, thinking that this experience was quite cool, alltough maybe not as cool as being hit by lightning and transforming into an adult superhero. However something seemed to be going wrong as suddenly Constantine was hit by a blast. "Hey, are you alright?", Billy asked and only then noticed that he had turned back into a twelve year old kid, wearing his jeans and red jacket.
This was bad, he never had told the Justice League his true age! He turned around at hearing Supermans voice and was too confused to speak.

"Shazam!?............No. No! You..... aren't him. Someone different?" Superman asked in a firm, determined voice. The Man of Steel had always been friendly towards children of all ages but right now, he wasn't too sure if the figure standing before him was a real boy or just a magical figment of his imagination. Or was, a distortion of reality brought on by the portal.

"Well, um, hi. I am Billy Batson. Shazam is my alter ego, you know.", Billy said awkwardly trying to convince Supes that he was a real boy. If he did not believe him things might turn out to be dangerous. Clark could think he was a demon in disguise or something like that...and he already was in enough trouble.
