Year 2178, after a violent technological war, many of the largest cities have been abandoned, preferring to return to live in less technologized places.
For decades they have been deserted giving rise to agglomerations of buildings and technology, often incorporated by nature.
But things are changing. Some rival companies want to get their hands on those technologies and that's how after finding a way to re-supply those large abandoned skeletons with light and gas, they hired people with little to lose to go and plunder as much as possible.
These factions have become real gangs constantly fighting for the territory and to obtain the necessary technology.


Raphael Lang, Tec-co's youngest biotech didn't believe he would ever end up working in the field.
But it had happened, less than six months after his hiring, at only eighteen, he had found himself shipped to New York, the largest technological agglomeration currently recoverable.
That green hell made of vegetation enveloped in high-tech buildings had intimidated him for the first few days.
Then he had other things to think about.
The band of researchers and tech retrievers of their main competitor, Bionsect, was downright brutal. They had taken most of the central districts by force, forcing them to retreat towards the periphery.
At that rate they would have to return to their employers empty-handed.
That meant not getting paid.
That was when Raphael had an idea. He had hacked the Bionsect terminals and changed some data.
Now he was regularly hired by the company as a new recruit, he had sent an email to the head of the opposing raiders in which he warned of his arrival, making it appear to have been sent by the company.

Raphael was quite nervous, but he didn't show it, from what he had heard they were an unscrupulous and rather "wild" group.
The positive side was that he, a blond boy, cute and defenseless in appearance, certainly would not have been seen as a threat.
He then presented himself to one of the principals on duty, to be taken by the operations coordinator. He had heard a lot of stories about him, some said he was a former prisoner, others a mad genius, no one knew the truth.
The only certain thing is that there was an iron discipline in his ranks.

Scott thought to himself as he heard from one of the principals said that someone was there, and they had brought Raphael to the man. Scott wore a suit, had slicked back hair and was a rather tall and intimidating man, the man watched them bring Raphael in and wondered what the young man needed. The only certain thing was also indeed very true as Scott himself made sure it was known that slip ups resulted in strict and firm punishment, which was almost always accompanied by a swift spanking. "What brings you by?" He asked, remaining tough and stern in demeanor as he tried to make sure Raphael knew who was in charge during this situation, looking him over to get an idea of what he was dealing with

Raphael, at that question, took the envelope in which, carefully forged, were his credentials and the letter of employment from the company.
"Raphael Lang, I'm the new tech evaluator," he said. "I was sent by the company to help you sort out the useful data from the garbage, the company must have gotten tired of seeing piles of useless stuff arrive," he said, with an arrogant smile.
"But I understand that it is hard enough to fight the territory with competitors to even worry about selecting the material," he was behaving in a deliberately hateful way.
Raphael wanted to dispel any suspicions that he might be a spy, and the best way to do that was not to keep a low profile. What spy in his right mind would try to upset his superiors?

Scott raised an eyebrow curiously at him and listened. "Lunile. Scott Lunile in full." He introduced himself and extended a hand to shake his new arrivals hand. He was impressed by how the young man was acting, but he didn't let it show as he looked him over. "If you don't mind me looking, I would like a look at your credentials." He said simply enough as he wanted to make sure it was all for real, being an expert in the field he was always on the look out for fakes, unaware of the credentials skillful forgery

Raphael, absolutely sure of himself and his ability to forge documents, nodded.
"Of course," he said, handing him the documents.
While Scott checked the paperwork, he looked around. The area they had hijacked seemed to be really rich in technology.
He had accepted that espionage job also to be able to see the heart of the old metropolis up close. Part of him was excited as a child.
