Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:

Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Default A Humble Suggestion

A lot of games that are posted here are works in progress. I just have a suggestion about how creators can help others make sense of updates. Have you ever seen mention of an update on a game you've played before, but aren't really sure whether you've played that update or not?

My suggestion for solving the problem would be if creators were to post the DATES of each update, along with version numbers or whatever else.

As another idea, having the version number somewhere on the project itself, even if it's embedded in a folder name or a text file would be helpful.

Well, there aren't many projects that are REALLY in progress. Keeping track of their updates is no problem. If some long-abandoned project suddenly receives an update, it’s also hard not to notice.

Although in general the idea of making this more visible is a good one.

Absolutely true. You also shouldn't forget that lots of games on this site are made by people as a hobby in their free time, and not by full time patreon game creators or the like, and setting up more rules for posting games might be discouraging for them, especially if they're new to this.

Release date usually not marked in software version, because it's easy to look at the date of exe file. Developers usually put dates in changelog but yeah, there are not so many developers here and new games and updates are so rare that it's not really needed.

What is needed in my opinion - some kind of registry with available games and tags. [inProgress], [Abandoned] and so on. But I'm afraid it will be a lot of efford to make one and keep it actual. I would love to make it but I guess you would prefer me working on game rather then registry

I agree with the points about adding tagging system and current game status.
Maybe it's even better to improve the structure of the game section and add some subsections for the games that already completed, still in progress, as well as for abandoned (for example, if there are no updates for more than a 2 years?). Such sorting would be useful for navigation.
I think the big problem here is also the fact that top starter cannot edit and move its thread by self.
