Wendy Darling was so delighted! The girl spent a day on Neverland alraedy, and the dreamy island was just as wonderful as she imagined in her own stories! However, even while enjoying the unbelivable sights and the miracle of flight Wendy noticed some other things too: Peter Pan was not very polite, usually ignoring her and bullying the other boys, the Lost Boys were noisy, chaotic and, to be honest, didn't seem to take baths very often.

Of course, Wendy was just a girl herself... but she was, probably, the oldest girl around (well, she did not count mermaids and fairies!), and she promised Peter to be their mother, so maybe she could.... should... even have to do something about it.

Near the sunset, then after a long day of adventures everyone was returning to their underground home, Wendy called the flying rascal.

"Peter! Come here! We need to talk"

“WOOHOO!” Peter cheered as he did cartwheels and loop-de-loops in the air, simply enjoying the feeling of flight! For a minute, he didn’t even realize someone had said his name, until he looked down and saw Wendy standing there. She didn’t seem all too happy, either.

Diving down and landing with a flourish, he beamed and said, “what’s up, Wendy?”

Wendy crossed her arms on her chest, like her mom (or, more often, her dad) did then she scolded her and her brothers. She doubted that she looked as serious, in nothing but a nightgown, but the girl tried her best.

'Peter Pan! Don't yu think you need to apologize? You let me fall on the way here, you've been ignoring me since we've arrived despite inviting me yourself in the first place, you allowed those nasty mermaids to mock me and drag me into the water!.." secretly Wendy felt that if he apologize she would probably be satisfied and bac up on the whole "mommy" idea. Peter was not that bad, was he?

He tilted his head, a little confused, “well, I’ve had others I wanna hang out with too, Wendy. And what about the mermaids? They were just roughhousing with you!” He said with a little laugh. “The Lost Boys and I do it all the time! I wouldn’t have let them seriously hurt you!”

"That was not very nice of them! Na I am your guest, you should have protect me" Wendy responded. She was upset. Peter might look cute and be barve and magical, but in the end of the day he was still just a boy. A brat, really.

"Though i am not exectly a guest here, am I? Didn't you ask me to be your mother earlier?"

“Well, yeah. The Lost Boys and I have kinda been wanting a Mother, to come and tell us stories,” he said, sitting in a low-hanging tree branch. “And your brothers are getting along well with the other Lost Boys. I think they might want to stay too…” he mused, then beamed at her. “Does this mean you’ll be our Mother?!”

Wendy nodded before she even thought up all the consequences of that. Neverland was awesome and wonderful, after all, and these boys needed an authority figure desperately.
"Yes, Peter, I will be your Mother. But do you know what else mothers do, besides telling bedtime stories?"

“YEAAAAAAHHH!” He cheered, shooting up into the air, before going down and hovering in front of her. “Come on, let’s go tell the others!” He makes to grab at her, but then stops as he hears the rest of her question.

Hovering in front of her, he puts a hand on his chin and thinks, “um… they… cook and clean?”

"yes, they do that, but it's not all. Mothers give baths, they look after their kids, they set up some rules... and they spank their kids then they misbehave" Wedy finally announced, slightly blushing, but trying to sound firm and resolute. "Do you know what spanking is, Peter?"

Peter couldn’t help but wrinkle his nose slightly at the baths part. Yeah, he and the Lost Boys occasionally took baths… every once in a while… did jumping into the river count?

He then refocused on Wendy, frowning when she mentioned rules and looking after kids. Peter landed on the ground with an utterly bewildered expression when she said ‘spank.’ “Un, no, not really. What’s spanking? Is it like, a chore or something?”
