Anyone know the maximum upload image width?

I tried to upload a Momopan picture that was 2892 pixels wide, which is apparently too wide. I'd rather not try to find out through trial and error, so if anyone here knows the max image width, I'd appreciate them letting me know.

The max width is 2500px wide.

Given that 80% of the worlds population use a resolution of 1980px or less - and accounting for the sidebar and menus our site overlays - that's a viewing size twice the width of most peoples monitors, well over 660mm (or 27" I think).

Smaller is better.
