And the World's Greatest Secret Agent is going about the business of being Greatly Apologetic, as he stands with Amazing Poise and Fantastic Magnetism, before his gruff and bearded Chinchilla Commander and Chief, Colonel K. Physically, for a change. No television screen for him today, oh no!

"Well, I'll just have to take your word for it, Sir. I really am very sorry..." Danger Mouse, hero to all and more, stated contritely to his Commander and head of Intelligence at the Danger HQ, Colonel K.

After a spate of impressive and grandiose transgressions ridding the World's Richest of their esteemed valuables (masterfully executed, mind you), Danger Mouse had finally come to his reputable senses. No longer was he the White Shadow, the master thief and 1980's one-eyed Robin Hood, terror to the rich and opposer to the crown. No! He was Danger Mouse. The White Wonder. The World's Greatest Secret Agent.

"You should be sorry, Chief!" Penfold chirped at his partner's side, nodding his head emphatically, "Veeery sorry! You did this and that, and said that and this, and-and--"

"Yes, yes, Penfold, I know..." DM placated, reddening.

"Crumbs, you weren't half naughty, Sir!"

The brave mouse gritted his teeth at the reprimand, one that he usually saved for his cheeky assistant, but allowed it with a blush, "Yes, thank you, Penfold, now hush-"

The younger spy blinked behind his glasses, and then beamed happily. It was rare that he had the chance to be in the RIGHT! He was gonna ENJOY it! The tiny hamster counted off his Chief's many crimes on his small, latte-brown paws, "And you stole the crown jewels, and tied up twelve policemen-"

"Penfold, you're treading a very fine line..." the white mouse warned, narrowing his one eye at the younger rodent, which as usual, went unheeded.

"You nicked the PM's cheese and chutney sandwich AND his last bickie, said 'tally hohoho, and, EVEN stole the Prince of Wales' golden nose-picker, too! But what was reeeally naughty was--"

"Penfold SHUSH!!!" Danger Mouse finally shouted, causing his little assistant to jump and then scamper behind the Colonel's legs. The Colonel hadn't managed to get even a word in as the two bickered.

"Yes! You had better go into hiding before I jolly well GIVE you a hiding to hide FROM!" DM exploded, hands firmly on his hips as he scolded the little hamster cowering behind the Colonel's legs. DM blinked his yellow eye, and raised his head, looking at the big chinchilla man, coming back to himself, "Oh gosh, I'm sorry about that, Colonel..." he coughed discreetly into his fist, and clasped his hands behind his back, apologetic again, "I do hope the agency didn't get into too much bother with Her Majesty due to my little, uh..."

"Little Big Fat Stealin' Spree, Chief?" The cheeky hamster piped up, giggling behind Colonel K's legs.

"Penfold SHUSH!!" DM barked, blushing hotly. He was already more than jolly embarrassed about the whole thing!

"Well, normally, it would be unjust to to punish someone who committed crimes because of amnesia but these transgressions are too serious to go without punishment." Colonel K, said.

DM started, somewhat taken aback by his superior's response. He'd not expected that. He'd rarely given anyone, particularly the Colonel, a reason to be unhappy with him - aside from trouncing him at golf on the green - so wasn't quite prepared for it. He looked to his white feet, and then up again, straightening, "Ah. Quite right, sir... shall it be taken from my salary...?" At the delayed response, the handsome mouse's look grew decided more forlorn, "Oh no, Colonel... you can't mean... will my knighthood be renounced...?"

"A-and... w-will we have to give back the nice tea cups we got for Christmas?" Penfold mewled sadly from behind the big man.

Not the nice tea cups!

"Funny you should mention that." Colonel K began. "The Queen herself has given you a choice between three options. Your knighthood will be revoked, you will be imprisoned for ten years or you will be the test subject for the agency's new method of corporal punishment."

"It will be jolly difficult for me to defend the realm from fiends and villains from behind bars..." DM pretended to mull it over, like he had a choice in the matter, tapping a white fingertip to his chin. He spread his arms, pale palms up, "I think I'd like to opt for the third option, sir. The third option being the choice of the agency that I have stood behind for all these years...~!" the dashing white mouse added, hurriedly. Implicitly. Hoping to jog his beloved Colonel's memories of all the times he had aided the older man, protected his interests, and the land - a job well done and all that. He was the agency's golden boy, after all. He smiled at the gruff chinchilla, his one eye seeming much more innocent and blameless than usual, "If that's alright?"

"I've wanted try this new contraption out, ever since it was built." the Colonel smirked as he pressed a button on his desk and a panel on the wall started to slide open.

"'Ere, I thought the Colonel wanted YOU to test it, Chief?" Penfold questioned, finally edging out from behind the big chinchilla and back to his partner, tilting his head innocently.

Danger Mouse couldn't hold back a faint chuckle at that, before coughing and stepping forward. He wouldn't let anything daunt him, "What is it, Colonel...?"

What had the boffins created this time? A hands-free DIY torture chamber to cut out the middle man? A device that turned your socks inside out whilst you were wearing them? A pill to turn the inside of your eyelids green or change the sex?

"It is a spanking machine, DM." the Colonel said. "Now, first, you should undress yourself from the waist down."

Penfold at this point had nothing to say for the first time in ages. His little mouth was open in a little round "o" of wonder. Gobsmacked.

DM wasn't too far behind in that sentiment.

"...I... I'm sorry Colonel. I think I may have some lingering affects from the bump to my head," Danger Mouse rubbed his head for emphasis, laughing softly, "because, I was sure that you just said that was a... machine of some nature, and..." the white mouse's snow-white fur burned scarlet, his whole face pink as candy floss, "and that I was to, ahem, undress from the waist down..."

"I mean, that's just silly, isn't it Colonel? You couldn't really have..." His lone dark eye sparkled, alarmed, even as he laughed as though it was all a big, tasteless joke, "I-I mean... I'm wearing a one piece suit, for one thing! Ahahah...hah..."

"Then, you must undress completely, unless you want your knighthood taken away." Colonel K said.
