So, using Ren'py, I decided to make a spanking-themed visual novel. It's set in a high school, and anyone who knows me knows it's f/f in nature. So, the music is in, the backgrounds are in (although one is of the wrong size), the (mediocre) character art is all in, and the script is complete. It's currently playable, it simply lacks all the scene art (this will likely take the longest, especially if I want it to look good, and thus do it in my more recent art style as opposed to the freehand drawing the character art is in).

So, question time: does anyone want me to upload it as it is, in beta format for the (simple) story and options? Or does everyone want to wait until it's complete?

It currently has something to the effect of ~9 different endings, based on all the choices made, and not every scene in the game is available in a single playthrough (beyond the obvious "I chose A, I can't also have B". Choices can add or eliminate future options/scenes). Note that I will at no point be charging money for it, being a communist (and a realist when it comes to the content and my skills). It's a project I'm doing for fun, and will be releasing to anyone who wants it.

Only certain file types can be uploaded onto the AnimeOTK server, I'm afraid.

Actually, I'm not sure where to host it. Most of those places like Rapidshit either require a paid account (HAHAHA no) or have rules about explicit content.

What format is it and can it be converted to either java or shockwave flash?

If so, perhaps some arrangement might be able to be made about putting it on this site in a playable, rather than downloadable manner.

If not, then more thinking must be done ^^

It's in a .zip file, and is an .exe with .dll files and stuff. Although that being said, zips CAN be hidden inside image files using ninja skills taught on 4chan.

I'm guessing this is one of those times when people outside the US have a much harder time using stuff like Megaupload, then? I suppose you could try Sendspace; just label it something innocuous. Regardless, you've piqued my curiosity. I'd be interested in seeing the beta even without all the art.

EDIT: How big is it, anyway? If it's under 10 MB you could try posting it in the downloads section.

Thanks, Doc, I thought Megaupload was one of the ones that required payment.

Anyway, here it is (around 20Mb, I can only say for sure that it'll work on Windows).

So people, let me know if you find any bugs/errors (with as much info as possible), and see how many endings you can find. I'll release a "playguide" if people really want, but it should be pretty easy to figure them all out.

And yes, version with full graphics is coming... when it's done.
