Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!
Hey everyone !
This is my entry for the 2010 historical contest. It's a bit of a departure from what you usually see from me. Generally I produce cartoonish/anime/furry spanking art, as some of you will already know.
But I wanted to go back to my roots and draw something with a bit more class and skill. This took about 5-6 hours including photoshop resizing (the original was waaaaay too large to upload). Pretty fast for me, I must say.
The modified fabric crosshatching that I drew was very time consuming, the window not so much, and the sketch of Mona Lisa herself was about in the middle. No coloring, I felt that pure pencil was just right for this one although a gentle sepia would have worked nicely.
The lucky spankee with her slingshot was a creature of imagination, no reference used for her other than her kid boots (thank you google). Her hair turned out rather well.

Daaang weaver, I admit, I didn't know you could draw something like this, where it's more...I can't think of the word. Realistic, I suppose might be what I'm looking for. You did really well coming up with an original idea that incorporates history. CLEVER. And wow, I just...I'm really awed with how much thought and work you put into all of this, and seeing you draw in a different style that's more realistic. You've always been a great artist, but I like this different approach this time. It suits the historical theme of the contest very well. (:
Hiya Mushy ! I've always been able to jump from one style of drawing to another, from Phil Foglio to Hogarth, it's just that this kind of work I reserve for myself most of the time. But I thought that this contest warranted the effort so I buckled down and hammered this out.
Good that you decided not to reserve this one to yourself. I'm definitely awe struck. I knew you were talented, sure, but who would have guessed you can do such great work.
Seams the competition will be a hard one, but I guess that's what it really comes down to^^
Nice work, weaver. I really am impressed! I know what you mean by a difference in anime drawing and realistic approaches, but here you seemed to find a sort of middle ground. All the details and sketchiness is really nice, I think it lends a sort of history textbook illustration feel to the picture.
I gotta admit, this one had me agape. -Very- clean, and -very- well done. It's so classical and suiting for this entry, although I am not fond of the window; personal preference. The attention to everything let the eyes happily wander, and the lack of color makes one thing of some of the old drawings you find on the wiki. Soooo clean!

I thank you for the high praise, Exodus ! And I do agree with you about the window, fractures in objects is still something that I've got to work on. I'm pleased with the amount of detail but not with how the flow ended up, I should have planned better for this one. I realize that I won't win this contest due to an unfinished background (that was deliberate, I wanted what looked like a work in progress within a work in progress ) and the lack of colors, but like Exo said "Soooo clean !"

By far the most clever idea i've seen in awhile. Not as erotic as the other entrees but the quality of the pic and the concept are the best in my opinion. Annnd thats why it gets my vote
This is the single cleverst idea in the contest, it may even pull my vote away from the "All spankings lead to Rome" one. The bawling brat is indeed well drawn. May I suggest, since you can dra both a classically realistic and a cartoony feel, that you draw your next spanker in one, and the spankee in the other ?
