It is the year 154, and beyond Hadrian’s Wall in northern Britannia lie the Picts, fearsome warriors who got their name from the tattoos they cover themselves with. Battling with the Roman for decades, this Celtic people never let them expand to what is now known as Scotland.

Still, the Legio Sexta Victrix, based in Eboracum, present-day York, punctually sent patrols in the dark forests of the North, looking for clues as to attacks in the future and in hope of getting prisoners.
Centurion Aeoticus is always up for patrolling, even though he seldom returns with prisoners, all of his encounters seemingly ending with the Pict warriors ‘fleeing after a taste of Rome’s iron hand’, as he puts it.

Ah, right on the deadline (well, it’s still the 14th over here ) This pic had sort of a hard birth, what with my planning being worse than ever and me being overwhelmed by stuffy stuff and more thingies all the time! Also I had started working on a crusades one, but got beat to it by iloveforks; his one was too close to my idea for comfort (and is great, by the way ) so I took another road entirely!

I did some research on roman armour and decoration, and just a few days ago visited two Roman museums that happened to be near where I’m on vacation with my family The legion and date are fairly accurate, and even though we know little about the Picts themselves, the patterns I used in their tattoos are attested in the archaeological findings that we have ^^ I would have preferred the contrary to happen, Romans getting their ass whopped (literally) by Celts, but females weren't allowed in the Roman army, so I was pretty much left with no other option ^^
Fun fact, the photograph I used as a basis for the background was actually taken by myself near the remains of Hadrian’s Wall in Scotland when I was there a few years ago

I’m no historian, but I did study the Picts a fair bit, and I though trying to get close to the facts would fit the contest best, besides, learning stuff is always interesting

So I hope you like it and good luck to everyone

I love it. The detail in the pic itself and the expressions are great. It really shows that you put A LOT of work into it.

I love the historical information and research you put into it. I'm in the SCA and my persona is a woman from that area and time frame, slightly earlier though, more 40AD. She's from then because it makes me feel more justified in doing combat. So just totally loved this entire picture! Well done.

Actually it´d be her ghost. Boadicea had died 215 years ago. Not that celtic ghost-spanking wouldn´t be pretty awesome, tho :P

This prompts the question "What have the Romans ever done for us?"

Alright, so in this picture, apart from the leather shoes, S&M armour kink, the invention of the gag, new wrist-bondage techniques, group sex and erotic sexual slavery... what have the Romans done for us?

Lovely pic ! And very sexy, too...

I love the details : the roman armors look great and the pictish tattoos are wonderful (their blue color contrasts very nicely with the red).

Having multiple spankees is always a pleasure. These four offer a nice diversity of positions and situations. The expressions of spankers and spankees are also very enjoyable.

Simply Outstanding!

I'm literally blown away by the number of details you were able to encapsulate in one drawing only.

So I inherited my desire to spank redheads from my Roman ancestors!

What have the Romans done for us? Well, for one thing, their language was the mosr efficient, most advance language i W. Europe at the time, and French, Spanish, and Italian are direct descendents of it. The intimate connection between Latin and French made possible modern English, through the imposition of Norman-French over Anglo-Saxon and eventual admixture of these two languages made possible by this combination.

It's true that Caesar conquered the red-and blond-haired Kelts of Gaul and imposed Roman law and dominion over them, but from a world history concept these same Kelts, or Gauls, became more Roman than the Romans, and fought tooth and nail against Frankish invaders.

As far as the picture goes--VERY fine! Pretty historically accurate, tatood true to life, women beautiful. I just don't know if the Picts were an offshoot of the Keltic. people. Their language does not appear to have been Keltic, or even Indo-Europran. But you got the complexions of the Picts right, because eye-witnesses reprted then as pedominently red-haired. But I've heard that the Kelts did not establish themselves at dominent people in Pictland. Until the arrival of the Scits from Ireland in c. 500.
