Samantha hated Chemistry. In fact, she hated it so much that she almost never did the homework, and she could barely make herself study for the big midterm exam. Poor Samantha - mid-semester, her grade in the class was about as high as her enthusiasm for the subject. One afternoon, as it goes, a report card arrived in her family's mailbox. That same night, Samantha's father had a little talk with his daughter about applying herself in school. Or, to be more precise – his belt did most of the talking.

(this one is kind of an experiment - tried using about nine thousand pounds of colorless blender on everything. drew a messy room so i could play with the blender on lots of different things. i kind of like it. what do you think?)

It gives some things a much softer appearance. Your work is still very characterized by the grainy consistency of the colors, which has an appeal of its own, but this crazy attention to background details you seem to be keeping up with definitely looks nicer with the blending. Approved!

aye it makes the overall appearance of the image look a lot softer. wich works great on materials such as skin and silky fabrics.

I think the blender adds some subtly to the colors melding together and kind of smooths everything nicely. Nice work, I personally like the messy room. A great thing about your work is you always use all the space and use lots of details which gives the audience a lot to look at and gives the picture more story and context. Nice work!

Fantastic. I like both the new look as well as the theme of the picture. Her room is full of interesting and nice details and her face is superbly drawn. I have only one future idea...surely Samantha's boyfriend isnt doing that well in chemistry either...

So looks like a teens room, and not studying is certainly a reason for a good lesson!

Goodness, she's a cutie... and from the look of her bottom and face, boy is she feeling that belt! Bet she wishes she studied harder now... though the state of her room kinda speak volumes. Still, at least he let her keep her underwear on for her strapping... that was kind of him, right?

I like to use colorless blender on my colored pencil pictures as well and I think it helps with smoothing too much texture a lot.

I really like the girl's positioning on the bed. She should get some more for her messy room

@Shoubiao (and Liliasstuff) - on the messy room, I agree!! I also love how over a decade later, this picture is still getting fav's and comments hahaha. Poor girl's fashion choices are getting more and more dated every time I revisit this one.
