Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!
Sympathy? Maybe...I drew this one a few years ago, and I was really shooting for frustration.
Drawing a new picture takes time, and while I'm working on the mundane details I have lots of time to concoct a story. Sometimes elements of that story find their way into the picture.
In this case I imagined the Mother as a young CEO, the youngest in the history of the company. She had aggressively pushed for a "Bring Your Daughter to Work Day" like other companies had, but when it happened, she found that her own daughter was more than a little bored with market research & sales figures. Our CEO understood, and promised they would soon visit someplace more exciting (R&D, testing, the factory floor), but first her daughter would have to be patient and wait through one short meeting.
Unfortunately, that was too much to ask, and the girl was soon being disruptive. The CEO tried to calm her down, but found that even her board members were beginning to goof off and become distracted. So she made an executive decision, much to the dismay of her daughter!
I never wrote the story down, but I suppose I could if anyone is really interested.
