The coloring is really good, but maybe you should use softer colors for some areas, so the contrast of colors wouldn't be so intense.

@Jinchu I'll be the first to admit I have a bias toward primary colors, but which colors do you think should be softer? I though I was using more softer color already.

I mean mostly that he picture would look deeper if some of the clors were softer then the others, if you see what I mean. Not taht I dislike any of them, but this way they kinda fight for attention. Bright color spots draw attention of the viewer to the essential parts of the picture, but here all the colors are equally bright.

But I might just be wrong, not taht I'm the coloring expert...^^;;

Let me rephrase what Jinchu is trying to get at: you work exclusively with flat colors. There's no shading, except what was part of Circe's original drawing. If you examine some of the other colored illustrations on the front page, you can see that gradation between lighter and darker shades in order to add depth.

It's not an ironclad requirement or anything, but when you put flat, high-contrast colors on top of the kind of sketched-in shading that Circe uses, you get a certain... visual dissonance, I suppose. I'm not an artist either, but I think that's the point Jinchu was going for.

It's so nice to see my artwork colored in, sorta like having desert after a good meal.
Thanks for this ! ^^
