Okay, a little difference here. Since 1996, Disney has the rights to release films by Studio Ghibli internationally, so it gave me inspiration to have Rhei in the world of Studio Ghibli.
And what a perfect time to start it off with one of my favourite Ghibli movies, The Tale of Princess Kaguya. It's about a bamboocutter who finds a little girl in one of the bamboo branches, where all sorts of weird situations happen such as the baby rapidly growing and the amounts of gold bursting from the branches. So, as they're rich, the parents buy a temple and from that moment, Kaguya becomes a princess. Doesn't make sense, I know, but that's how it happened back then; if you're the daughter of a rich man, like a lord or emperor, boom, you're a Hime. It's got a basic story of herself refusing to act like a princess and preferring to be her own woman, but she's so relatable and likable that you really feel bad for her.
This film is just incredible. It got 100% on Rotton Tomatoes, beating Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, My Neighbour Totoro and even Spirited Away!
So in this pic, the governess named Lady Sagami who was tasked with tutoring Kaguya, spanks Rhei for distracting the Princess during her studies, as a princess shouldn't frolick and play around in her own temple. It's not really Rhei's fault here (not entirely, though). You can tell that Kaguya got it as well, while feeling sorry for her new friend.
