The series takes place six months after the events of The Final Act finale. InuYasha and Kagome fight Ne no Kubi that Kikyō sealed away right before meeting InuYasha, over 50 years ago.
Years later, the daughters of Sesshōmaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time. In Feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi's younger brother, Sōta, and his family.
Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a demon slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa's shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister.
Joined by Moroha, the only daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.
wait aminute that rasies some genuine questions for me. as a fan of the series. Like literally Inuyasha was my first Adult themed Anime. I was so into that stuff I ended up staying up just to catch it at night secretly on adult swim. But again My concerns are as follows. 1. how did sesshomaru have a kid let alone two.? and more importantly who is the mother? [ though i have my suspicions as to who that was.] 2. why am i not hearing about miroku and sango yet? and what happend to their kids? and 3. so if kohaku is still alive, and is now training seshomarus daughter as a demon slayer how on earth did he manage to convince sesshomarus blood to become a demon slayer?
