Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!
Bannik
"As I said, it's something in-between gnome and imp, a kind of encahnted creature who lives in the banya according to Russian folklore. It's not evil exectly, but it's the most dangerous of teh spirits who live in teh house, since realxing in the steam room may be dangerous, also it was used as a pplace for corporal punishments sometimes. Usually bannik's descrived as a male dwarf with while main of hair and beard (sometimes remenicing the birch broom which is asssociated the steam room). But it can has unhuman features or be shapless. The story which this commission si absed on specifically says what the bannik is a shapeshifter. So I'd like to see your own take on the creature rather then following any specific design."
It's very origoinal and unique, yet it gives you just teh right impression of the grumpy creature which spents all it's time in the dark, hot steam room!
I love how with but a few expertly drawn pencil strokes the wood of the door, table and tub is so convincing. Also the creature is fantastically ambiguous.
There is also an interesting method of augury, which, I think, AOTK members will approve nad which partly inspired the story to go with these pictures (especially the 6th one). A girl is supposed to bare her ass and shove it into banya's door or window, and by the feeling of the hand which will grope it (supposedly bannik's) she can guess what kind of husband she'll marry.
