Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!
Not tryng to start a flame war or anything, just asking for context... isn't posting art of "real" people a bit of a slippery slope?
Yes, I know- Kiara's avatar isn't of course the REAL person behind it, in the same way that a drawn depiction of a person isn't really the person itself. But for anyone not knowing the actual person or having ever seen it, this is... well, our image of it, and in cases like vtubers, all we really have.
But for most purposes, this would equate to, say, me posting spanking art of another member- not their OCs, themselves. Not really any different. And I don't know if all of them would be thrilled about it.
Please, don't misconstrue this. I'm not saying this should be taken down or not posted, or trying to make a statement on the "morals" (note quotation marks) behind the whole thing. It is more of a thinking-out-loud-about-lines-in-the-sand sort of thing.
I think it has most to do with how person themselves thinks about it. Many VTubers outright ecnourage lewding their avatars.
Granted, I don't know if Kiara is one of them, or if she'd even be allowed to do it.
But I came across this and other piece, and thought it was cute and funny art, fitting with theme of this site.
Of course Kiara Takahashi is a persona, an act of sorts, regardless of how close she is to her real self. That detachment, both visual and personality-wise makes it acceptable imho.
All in all Kiara is awsome and I aprreciate the artist for giving us this pieces.
