That's the problem in a preteen girl wearing a thong panty at school--if she's due for a sound caning over her underpants, it effectively becomes a bare-bottomed butt-whipping.

To expand on what Jinchu and forks said, but to use clinical terms to explain...
You normally draw very shapely butts, but it's all glutteal crease, and no gluteal fold. In this picture, you show gluteal fold, which denotes a more shapely, full butt (at least from my perspective).
Now, don't misunderstand, some women genetically simply do not have any gluteal fold; Asian women for instance have very little, if any, gluteal fold. They can be plus size, and yet, no gluteal fold! *
It might not be your cup of tea, and if so, then you shouldn't show it. Apparently there is three of us that groove on gluteal fold (I'm guessing - I might be wrong).
*gluteal fold is not indicitative only of plus size women. However, a large percentage of women who have gluteal fold, get much more gluteal fold the heavier they get.

Lonewulf, you do pay great attention to details and that's commendable. That's an interesting observation about creases and folds. I can only say that when I'm drawing a female figure I don't think hard. Yet I'm imagining thin hips with a gap, thin waist and roundy buttocks. I'm not sure why, but such attributes attract me and provide me the most aesthetic pleasure. Maybe it's because I've grown up in the environment where people are mostly skinny so I naturally developed that kind of taste. Also for the last decade there was a trend among girls to exercise buttocks to make its shape more popping.
Oops! I boo-booed it. I thought the gluteal crease was, what is colloquially called the "butt crack." But it's not, the gluteal crease and fold are the same thing, the horizontal line at the bottom of the butt. Aha! the gluteal cleft is the butt crack.
Sorry if I didn't explain it right, while people (women AND men) can work out to the nth degree, people with a gluteal fold are not going to lose it, just as people predisposed to NOT having one can't naturally attain one, cosmetic surgery aside. Just as people with "dimples of Venus" (the two little indents just above the gluteal cleft) can't lose them, and people without can become skelletal thin and never get them.
A person without gluteal folds can work out to make their butt stick out (side view), and thereby be "shapely" but I don't consider a butt to be shapely without the gluteal fold. Just as I'm a sucker for dimples of Venus, but I know how rare those are. I blame 60's comic book artists, like Dan DeCarlo who drew the facial look for the Archies girls (also one Dysknee cartoon) Josie and the pussycats, etc. He essentially drew a carracature of Neoteny. Other artists of the same era drew female superheroes with gluteal folds and dimples of Venus. And those female superheroes liked wearing spandex (or the era's equivalent) which made them look oh-so-spankably nude.
Fun fact, supposedly Ariel was inspired by Alyssa Milano, but I think dysknee also drew from DeCarlo's Archies girls too for her look. My Ariel avatar pic shows heavy neoteny features.

Yes, I agree. Thin waist, a two or three "finger gap" just below the pussouir ( faux french for pussy and should sound like puss-wah), but I'll add a gluteal fold and dimples of Venus are a "perfect" butt to me.
Interesting as that was (I did not know about many of that myself), I do think that merely showing appreciation for the shape of a butt (which is indeed tremendously spankable)hardly implies the needs of thorough explanation of the anatomy and anthropology behind it.
Sometimes a nice but is just... a nice butt. Doesn't need to be anything else.

The girl standing beside the scene looks so innocent and cute. Feels like hugging her, when the teacher is finished with the bent over girl, I would then help this girl undress and slowly places her in the right position....
